I think I am ready

Ummm, this might be a stupid question but, how do I do a wheelie in first gear, I am really afraid of my R1 and this is my first bike too. My dad got it for me and I only drive it around the neighborhood right now because I am still learning how to ride. I see all the cool guys riding wheelies and I need to know how so I can impress everyone. I don't have any riding gear but I don't think I will get any since it is always hot around here, besides I don't think helmets look cool. Where in Michigan you from??? We have a sport bike thing here in Flint on Fridays.............Not quite like Royal Oak Thursdays though.
