White Lettering on Tires

Yes or No? Do you like the look of white lettering on the tires. I stenciled my Dunlop's on the R1 and I think it looks sweet.

Yes, if the bike has a racing brand tire on it (Michelin, Dunlop), NO if it´s wearing Metzelers or Bridgestone or some such... But on the whole I think it´s crap. XR3i-boy-racer kind of thing. Don´t do it!

ya I like it, did my dunlops in yellow, looks pretty cool. My friend gives my sh!t, saying now it looks like NASCAR tires, I don't care , looks more like a racer that way...........and I can still whip his ass in the twisties....

I thought about yellow because my Champ LTD symbol is in yellow. They also have the yellow NASCAR tires you can by for your car now.

I think white lettering on tyres looks crap. You might as well have a strip across the screen saying KEVIN&TRACY and a pair of furry dice hanging from each handlebar end.

highlighting the letterings gave my bike 5 more horse power and better cornering:D

what do you use to outline the letters on tires??? how long does it last???

You can use a paint pen from any hobby shop(testers) are one of the best brands out there,I know of people that say the tire wore out before the paint came off.

I did mine in yellow it is alright hey its something to do when its cold and youre broke as a hell:)

If you are going to do it, just get a color you like (flat looks best IMO). Also get the finest point you can. And at all cost, stay away from the LP pens, they suck and are way overpriced. It will not come off, but you will have to clean frequently because it will get dirty from brake dust and road grime. But it does look sweet!

i used the lockhart pen and it kept needing a retouch every couple of days. then it started to flake. i love the look but can't find anything that will stay on. it is a pain in the ass to have to do over and over. why don't the tire mans make them that way?i see some race teams with lettered tires, are they sold anywhere?

Go to Walmart in the arts & crafts section they have paint pens there for around $3.They last and they have many diffetent colors and sizes.The first time you might have to put on 2 coats,after that just touch it up now and then.
