My man Kyle Woods, blessing us with his knowledge on 180 Endos! [i]Originally posted by kyle xxx beleve it or not, it's easer to control at higher speeds, 30 to 50 is my favorate. ride about 30, place your body as far fwd as you can, hug the tank with your legs, put slight pressure on the front brakes "till you hear them drag". at the same time slightly throw your body weight fwd & increase pressure on the brakes, when the rear comes up & straten your arms & lean your body weight on them "this helps to keep from getting tank slapers". you can estomate how i=high you are by feel or how rapidly your slowing down. remember the higher you are the less your on the brake "the farther you'll go, but it's much more dangerous". !!!!!!!!!! remember if the front wheel slides out LET OFF THE BRAKE it will corect it self, if the rear end kicks out to one side LET OFF THE BRAKE it will be ok, if you hold on to long you'll highside..... tank slapper? no prob if you catch it early, LET OFF THE BRAKE, you'll be ok.....but dont try to ride it out,,,,, untill you get the hang of it........ best of luck to you.... Honestly, I thought a 180 endo was swinging the back around, like in Mission Impossible. His post doesn't really talk about that at all. I'm asuming he's talking about getting straight up and down, but doesn't get into great detail about that either. That might be the reason why it didn't any response...then again I smoke little green leaves from time to time, so ya never know. But thanks anyway for all your effort. We have this section from your idea, so thanks again for that.

Hey man... i was kinda curious about workin on some 180's. Im kinda weary about tryin it though in fear of the whole bike landing on its side. What is the trick. Say i get the rear in the air bc i do it the same as anyone else. While im in the air, how would i pursue getting the bike turned and pulling a 180 stoppie??

I was wondering how to pull one of those myself... Thanks for the info. I finally worked up the nerve to try it at some speed and really get it up:rock It did too. That was some crazy shit. I don't want to drop my baby since i just got her, but I'm thinkin of trying turning it around in the air. Anymore insight would be helpful

I have not been able to do one myself, but I read a good thread about it on Sportbikes.net. Once you get it up and rolling (the easy part, stop reading now if you can't do this), you want to get to around 15 mph. Then, you want to lean into the turn and COUNTERSTEER. You pretty much have to have it at full lock to get the effect. I've had it up and I could have sworn that I couldn't turn the wheel anymore, and I barely got a rotation out of it. It's tough. It think it's all in the head though, I'll get over it.

Okay, another countless failed attempts. I'm starting to wonder...is it me or my bike? Usually, never the bike so here's what i did, in short. As always, got her up about 30mph, a light grab on the brakes...down she went to 20mph, grabbed hard...the nose dove straight down till to an abrupt stop. No stoppies, just a new look-----> wondering again. Maybe I'm not grabbing the brakes hard enough. Once more, same effect, my front end dove straight down... forks compressed maybe 5-6 inches and the end result, you've guessed it...the you know what look ---> My front brakes still good..the setting on my brake lever is adjusted to #5. So any ideas?
