I called FAST school to book and they're full already. I'm looking for a date where I can use my own bike for Phase 1. Anyone who has a day they can't use I would be more than happy to take it off your hands. I'm also interested in any feedback on either of these schools as I am definitely taking one or the other this summer. If FAST is that much better I'll wait until next year if I have to. I'm on a waiting list but who knows how far down the list I am.

I think it was because it was the last one of the season, and I had to use the instructors helmet, so he could not come on the track with us... :( I will let you know about FAST after May5th.... you should post this in the Canada east section??? More people that have taken these schools are from that area... Why don't we do Keith Code after the Mid Ohio race..... its only $400 US... :dunno hahahaha

I took the FAST School 10 years ago, and it was good. Keith Code sucks IMHO. I wanted to take his class at Willow a few years ago, I have an Expert WERA and a AMA license (at the time), and they wouldn't let me take anything other then the basic class - no slide bike or any of the trick stuff that they advertise, they basically said it was the class for street riders. I just wanted to try the track and see if I could get some pointers on my racing from him. Money grubbers! They want you to come back a few times before you get any real track education. Why not check out the Fasttracks school at Grattan? They will have street and riders schools this summer. www.fastone.com is there site, and they have a forum over at www.localriders.com eddie

Thanks for the info. Thats a bit of a drive from where I am. I think I'll have to wait it out and hope that I get into the FAST school this year.

I have never been on a track before but I bought my brother and I the F.A.S.T. course for Christmas. Were going June 6th. I booked the course in November and they were half full already. I tried to book a course for last year but I was way too late. I had a buddy on a waiting list and he got in. He was called a bunch of times before he actually took the open spot. They call you at the last minute and if your available your in. A lot of people arent available on the spot. Good Luck and maybe i'll see you there in June.

I think I checked it out a couple months ago. Sounds kick ass but I'm tenatively booked for a trip to Vegas from the 30th to the 3rd. If something happens and I don't make it I'm in for sure. Is that the only track day of the year? BTW where does everybody gather in T.O.? *Correction*- My course is June 9th.

Well, sure. The reason why it's taking so damn long is that my bike is in Florida. It's booked for a flight home via forward air on the 28th of April. I obiviously waited to damn long and i'm kicking myself in the ass for doing it. :rant I have bought a bunch of mods over the past 8 months. Here's a list of mods that are currntly installed or will be installed withing a week of getting my bike home: Custom Flushies in the front. (LP/Dremel) Chrome Rims Corbin Seat Earache Barends Graves Velocity Stacks Graves mirror block off plates Goodrich Lines (Front/Rear) Shogun Polished Sliders (frame/swingarm) PCIII Chrome Flame Heal Gaurds Hotbodies Undertail LP Super Pole V-360 Pegs Scotts Damper/Scotts Mount Yamaha Solo Seat Custom mounted mirrors (thanks Trey Parsons) Sportech Chome Screen MCM Custom Exhaust Tape works Decal Kit This is what the bike will look like with the decal kit...

I took the RACE course about 7 years ago just to get my licence. It was the one day course, and it was basically an orientation to racing. Nothing to do with riding skill at all.

I don't mind at all. My dad's is about to retire and he just bought a place in Aventura in November. When he moved furniture down there I rented a trailer and Got the movers to haul the bikes down.(My brothers and I) We went down to help with the move and got to ride the bikes while we were down there. We also took the bikes from Miami to Daytona for the Daytona 500. Never been to a Nascar event before. Pretty damn cool. (came home after that and couldn't stay for bike week) Gotta work. Anyways, I planned on going back to pick up the bike but I couldn't get the time off when I wanted. So, I'm going down next weekend, gonna ride for the weekend and ship it home on the Monday. As for engine mods... no nothing yet and I have no interest in doing anything. This will be my first full summer with the one. I bought it half way through last year. (had ZX7's forever) After the summer I'll see if theres anything else I want to do with the engine but I doubt it.

I plan to buy a frame and motor.... I have already: bodywork and tank, rims, Graves Ti full exhaust, Attack rear sets (reverse shift GP) Ohlins damper, swingarm and rear stock shock... things I need when I get money.... frame and motor, Ohlins rear, and some wiring.... I pan to weld/brace the swingarm like the R7's... and powder coat the frame and swingarm a black chrome (it will look anodized) I might put an 02 motor in the 01 frame... have heard guys that have done it on the fourm.... I am hoping to have it done over the winter and on the street in 2005.... Unless I get rich fast..... :riding
