hyperpro damper

i'm looking at getting a hyperpro active damper for my 02. If anyone has this particular model damper i'd appreciate their feedback on its preformance.

i had the older hyper-pro and didnt have much luck with it. went in for service and was replaced within a year. I swiched to ohlins. These new ones are pretty decent I hear but from now on, im gonna stick with ohlins or scott's

I would recommend avoiding the Hyperpro. Search this site and you'll find my earlier posts regarding my specific experiences with Hyperpro dampers.

There are alot of threads regarding this issue, just do a search and you can find one. I'm leaning towards Scott's or Ohlin's after all my research and user feedback.

I have the "Active" one and it works great- no complaints!

I have a Toby on my '02, I also had one on my '96 cbr 900, they work good.

I just got the RSC (active one) for my 03. Have only been out for 2 short rides but it does make the bike feel more stable when you land a wheelie =) Also just love the progressiveness, feckin great when riding slowly / cruising in town. Oh yeah, it looks very gooooood compared to a butt ugly Öhlins or Scotts and looks do matter atleast if you got a beautiful bike like the R1 ;)
