I'm a few blocks from chicago. If your looking to get in on some group rides check out www.chicagolandsportbikes.com when it's nice out we get together every weds night at starts in villa park, North ave and route 83. A lot of groups rides are done on the weekends and several people organize a 2 day ride during the summer months.
