Hi all, okay here is my dilemma.

Problem
I can't upload from my pc any files/pictures through the attach file slot in the reply section of the R1-Forum. I'm not completely brain dead when it comes to computers, but this has got me intrigued.
I'm trying all the regular formats available & under the size limit: jpeg, gif etc, but a big no go. I thought it maybe an option setting in my profile, but the bottom guide says that I can attach files.

System Set-up
1. WIN 98 - with latest update.
2. no firewall running
3. security settings on low.

Just to add to the merriment, I can upload to other forum sites. I checked before.

So can all the wizkids out there, young and old give me a general idea, to what is going on.?

That's the thing, I haven't changed anything (that I'm aware of - I went through my system to be sure) and ever since I've joined the R1 forum, I couldn't upload. It didn't worry me too much at the time, as I was just here for all the tech info on the R1's and putting in the odd comment. I can still upload to my other site, so.....:dunno

try uploading a very small picture and see if it works?

try uploading your avatar to a post and see if it works.

The mods have a porn filter to avoid maxing out the servers. lol.

Damn those porn filters, I'll look into it some more and let you guys know what I come up with.....damn no porn :lol

Hey wait a second guys...tell me if this is true, as the avatar upload worked. When you go for a post preview, will it show any pictures you placed in the post. Could it be as simple as that...!?

As I have always done a preview first, because I didn't see any pictures, I thought the upload wasn't working....:eek:

The other forum I use has post/picture review in it.

The post review will not show an "attachment", yet it will show the use of the "[IMG]" function. Review your post, browse/attach your image, then submit.
