I tend to shift while the RPMs are still low, much easier. If I bring it up in first, I throw it in 2nd ASAP. When I bring it up in 2nd, throw it right to 3rd. Once it's up, it's easier to ride it out in a higher gear.

Nope, no clutch, just back off the throttle for a split sec and lift up on the shifter. Try it while riding with both wheels on the ground first. Notice how much smoother it is while the RPMs are lower.

Hey, just noticed that you're 16 and don't have an R1 now. I'm not gonna flame ya, but I would say to start small, and your 70cc trail blazer or what ever it is is small, but don't go jump right on a R1. I'm sure you've seen all the other posts about this so I won't go on about it.
And let me know when you get that little Honda 70 up in second. :)

my little honda is nto working now needs to be fixed (reringed) it doesnt have enought power to get up even in first, no clutch so cant get up that way. i cant really load up the shocks. i wheelied it for abit when i kicked it over in 2nd gear (scary!!! stop to wheelie in 1 second) it wont go over 40 MPH and has no RPM meter.
