Hey guys. I'm new here and I wanted to introduce myself. I've been riding for about 3 years or so. Done most of the tracks in Cali (Buttonwillow, Sears, Laguna). Practicing stunts and what not. Great board! :) I especially like the stunt only section.
Hopefully you can help. I'm going to do the 520 conversion and I wanted to get some opinions on what gearing I should use. I'd still like to have about 150mph or so as my top speed (currently ~175 on speedo), but I'd like more torque and better 2nd gear wheelies.
If you could tell me how many teeth you went down in the front and up in the rear that would be cool.
front: - x teeth
rear: +/- x teeth
Thanks guys!
 Welcome to the community:cool:
Sorry, can't help ya much

Welcome
15--front (1 tooth down from stock)
45--rear (2 teeth up from stock)
With this gearing you should be able to reach 150, and she will come right up 3rd.

Hey man I race a cbr 900rr with afm up here in concord. I did the 520 conversion on that bike, and dropped a tooth on the front. I just got back from buttonwillow over last weekend and was going to invest in a LOT of different sprockets, so I'll tell you how that goes. If you are looking for a big acceleration gain and don't mind shifting gears alot then I would drop 2 teeth in front and gain 3-5 teeth in back. Top speed should be 150 or so. I dropped one tooth on the front for my R1 and there was a difference, but it wasn't huge. If you like to ride wheelies for a long time then don't do this because you will have to shift alot.

Cool thanks guys, nice to be here :)
That's the information I wanted! I wanted something that will haul ass on track and be a little more fun for wheelies.
What are the rest of you guys running?
Cheers.
Edit: Also, I forget the formula for one down in front = x down in the rear. That would be helpful. I thought it was like 1:6, but I'm not sure.

 WHOA!!!! With that gearing I'd be scared to bring it up in second!!!
Going down one tooth in the front equals going up three theeth in the back. Most people I know are happy with going one down in the front!

Cool thanks guys! Yeah I think I might try one down in front. I'll be getting the AFAM 520 conversion in a week or so. My clutch just went on my car so I'm upgrading (of course :) ) this weekend. I'll let you know how I like it :thumbup
