FWIW, Jose at State Farm in Ft. Lauderdale gave me a policy for my '04, comp, collision, and 50/100 liability for $678 /yr. 954-472-6600. My SV 650 is only $450 same coverage.

Just so you all know...... state farm insures motorcycles based on cc's rather than type... so if you have an R1 you will pay the same insurance as someone with a 1000ish cc touring or cruiser. Of course the standard factors are included like age, tickets, accidents and location...... You will also get a nice discount if you insure your car or house through them as well (which I do). The longer you are with them the better too.... my overall insurance drops an average of 10-15% every year that I'm with them. I have no accidents, no tickets and at 28 yo I pay $33 a month for my 2004 R1, of course living in Oklahoma City helps as well. As far as I know all state farm agencies have the same policy, I have been with 3 different agencies in three states over the years and the policy has always been to insure the engine size rather than the type of bike.
