Who is the best dealer around in the omaha area that has the best price on the 04 R1s? I would be willing to travel a couple hundred miles for the best deal. Thanks Bikerider

Pretty much all of the Omaha dealers suck ass. Stay far, far away from Power Sports Pro. Paul's Yamaha isn't bad, and they have an 04 R1 (red) sitting on their floor (and it's been there for a month). You owe it to yourself to call Chris at Midwest Performance and Power in Keokuk, IA. Their number is 800-368-2604. About 4 hours from Omaha, but Chris will make it worth your time. Tell him that Eric sent you. :) Check Midwest out at http://www.midwesthonda.com.

Thanks for the heads up about Power Sports Pro. I stopped by there the other day and they had the color I wanted but the sales people dont know anything about the bike so that worried me. I am just in the Omaha area for a couple more months so I dont know the area dealers at all. I will call the guy in Iowa, if he can save me a few bucks and give me a good deal I will check into it. Do you ride around the omaha area very often? If so we will have to hookup and ride around after I get my different bike. Thanks again for the heads up. Bikerider

Blue? Definitely call Chris. He doesn't have any in stock, but he can get one. I think he has Tuesdays off though. How come you're only in the area for a couple months? Work?

We will have to get together for sure and ride around. I have never heard of the place you mentioned, but it sounds like fun. Anyother fun places to ride? Bikerider

Im on a job here till the first of July putting in the lighting system on the new runway at Eppley 32r and 14l. Looking around for places to ride and places to check out the night life. Seems like this year is a good year to trade up for a new bike. Time to let the old zx 750r go to somebody else. Hate to let it go but the new one has a grip on me and am really looking forward for a new bike. bikerider

I guess you'd have to figure out how far you're willing to drive and if you would spend more to transport than you would save, but this is THE place in the Midwest! http://www.chicagocycle.com They don't advertise their actual prices online (only MSRP), but I've heard they're going for $8,995. Again, you'd have to figure out if it's worth the drive, but it's only like 5 hours for me. Just a thought...

Hey Man, I live in the Omaha area (or at least i will again when i get back from freakin Iraq). Anyway, I did the same thing that you are doing in looking around for a good dealer in my general area. This si what I would suggest if you want a Yamaha or Aprilia. Go to www.renosyamaha.com. They are located in south KC, they are a 5 star certified Yamaha dealer, they have great customer service, and they had the best proce i could find for the 04 R1. Not to mention they were the only dealer that would take a deposite from me and hold the bike till i got back from Iraq. Really good guys and understanding to military. If you make the trip down there or call them tell them that you were refered by Adam Keske. I know they got me wqhat I tought was a great deal for preordering. I got my R1 for under 10500 OTD. PWP will charge you over 11k. If you call them (816) 942-8900 ask for Mark Ricci. Thier showroom is small but they have all thier inventory in a warehouse downtown so dont let the small shop fool you. Hope that this can help ya...

Yea, they were very helpful when I was looking for a new bike right after I crashed last fall. If I would have been thinking I would have kept my name and deposit on the list for the 04's and "sold" it to someone for the cost of the deposit, Sorry I wasn't thinking.

Chicago Cycle is NOTORIOUS for having a low price for the bike, and bending you over and hitting you with UNGODDLY amount of additional charges. I had a friend call them negotiate a bike deal, told them he needed the final dollar amount cause he was having a check cut at the bank, he went out there and they jacked him for over a GRAND worth the extra charges. Then they tell you that you drove all that way there is no way you are going home without your bike. So most people give in, my buddy kindly informed them that they could bend over and he would give it to them in that ass and they could then call it even! Moose

Well, that's nice to know I guess. But I'd be curious about the breakdown of those additional charges, because if one of them happens to be tax, that's close to $800 right there because I think Illinois has 7% sales tax if I'm not mistaken...

Yeah but they would be able to tell him that before hand, it is just a dick head move, no matter what the charges were.

I'm just saying NOBODY quotes 'out the door' prices. There is always extra costs. Now, if your friend asked for an out the door price and they didn't want to give it to him, then that sucks. But did they give him right away? Or did they beat around the bush?

I believe they negotiated a price, and then he asked for the bottom line. Cause he was getting the check made out. Which if you tell someone that they should realize that it HAS to include everything. They just thought they could screw him and get another grand, but he walked instead.

Probably too little too late... but I have an email quote of $9300 OTD (true OTD price too, no hidden extras) from www.hondaeasttoledo.com. Don't let the website fool you... they are a full dealership. Only about an hour from my house. :boobies
