What is the best sparkplugs for a 2000 – 2001 R1?
What is the gap?
How often do I need to replace them?

what I know.. if the bike feels tired when you start it.. change them.

the manual that came with the r1 is the best place to look for those types of things..it tells you gap, mileage to change and all.

I do not have the manual, Thats why Im asking...

According to the Haynes service manual:

NGK CR9E (or Nippondenso U27ESR-N)
Electrode gap 0,7 to 0,8mm

I believe the plugs need changed every 8k miles....


not positive but i'm pretty sure thats when they need changed :bash
