I know it's been said a hundred times. Just be careful at Deal Gap. I'm some what local (within 2 hrs) and we lost another rider this past week up there. I'll do some research later if I can for details. Was just wondering if anyone else heard of this terrible accident. It was on the news 2 days ago.

Do you mean the weekend of the 16th? I can't make that one :( I was going to go yesterday up to the Dragon, but the rain wouldn't let us. I work every other weekend. But one thing is for sure. ASAP I will have my new '04 up and running through the twisties.
Hey what about on Thursdays? How does that day look for you usually? I'm off almost every Thurs. and from time to time we could take a good long ride if you want?

I went to the GAP this past Thurs. and Fri. with a friend of mine. We actually came across the accident on Fri. just a few minutes after it happened. The guy was still laying in the road getting cpr. I guess they tried for about 45 min. to keep him going. I had a video camera mounted on my gas tank rolling as I went by. My friend and I planned on riding until 5 or so until we saw that. Went back to the hotel, loaded up, and came home. Note much desire to ride after seeing that.

I might be wrong, but when I saw the car and truck being hauled off it looked liked the bike may have slid under it. The front end didnt look as bad as a head on. You may have info I dont though. Regardless, his riding buddies were sitting on the gaurdrail when I rode by. It was a terrible look on their faces, and I hope that non of us ever have to experience it. Lets be smart!
