Bad Technique Or Burnt Clutch

All - Only a couple hundred miles @ my new R1. After spending a 100 or so gettng used to the ride, I've started experiementing with wheelies and rolling burnouts. I've had little success in either category by the way.... :cryin Starting @ about 15 - 25 MPH (in either 1st or 2nd gear) I'm taking in the clutch, revving the bike to about 6 or 7K and then, per the advice of some folks here, not totally dumping the clutch, but slipping it out quickly & progressively. Usually all I'm getting is the hard pull forward - ocassionally the front will come up just a bit. Just bad technique? or clutch problems?. In testing / practicing rolling burnouts I have had the clutch slipping at highr RPMs for a few seconds, but only a few times.... I'd be surprised if my lack of success here had much to do with the clutch. I't be hard to imagine that you could any damge to the thing in just a few modest "practice" sessions. But... I thought I check with the experts. BTW - any pointers @ the wheelies and/or burnouts? My guess is that with the wheelie thing I've get to get up a bit more speed before clutching them (i.e. higher in the power band)? Should I just be dumping the clutch? Maybe I'm not getting the RPMs high enough and or keeping them there? With the rolling burnouts, I'm pretty sure that I just need to weight the front end some more.... Thanks for your help - A.
