NC riders?

lookin for NC riders around the fayetteville area for weekend rides.

your only a hour or so from charlotte maybe we can meet up sometime. n/m your like 4 hours I think..LOL

I'll be in Mount Airy most of the summer, subject to any long trips that I might take. Right now I've got an 04 FZ6 for day trips and an 04 V-Strom DL1000 for touring and 2up, but I'm looking hard to add an R1. My main concern is being relatively comfortable for several hours of riding. When I get on the bike, I like to put in some miles. How long can you handle the R1 before you begin to get fatigued?? Will risers help?? Also, any suggestions as to NC dealer to contact for best price. I like the new red color. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers! Richard

Picked up my new red 04 R1 on Friday afternoon. Got in 450 miles so far, and the bike is awesome. Will be back to Mt Airy mid May. Ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding area of NW NC and SW VA. :yesnod Any time anyone wants to head this way for some good backroad/BRP rides let me know. Only about 1 1/2 hrs north of Charlotte, off I-77. Cheers! Richard
