: all your jetting needs

Hi all
you all seem to be asking about jetting so what ill do is get all my listings on jetting for most pipe's, but please remember that fuel has a lot to do with performance as in the uk the fuel is naff but in france it's good and you can gain so much more power, so with the jetting i will post on here soon may work really well in the usa but causes flat spots in europe or the north pole, but i will do my best to keep eveyone happy and all that's needed is a final tweek on the neddle side to sort out any problems.
For you guys with emission laws you need to junk the diaphragm system as was posted a few days ago. i will also have dyno graphs of our big bang r1 in the next day or so soon as i get a bulb for me scanner.
i would like to see some dyno graphs from you guys in the states as air and height make a differance so would like to get an idea what it's like there.

snow ice!!!!!! time for the wr400 then
daveloco 01-14-2002, 09:55 PM Hey rick007,
You seem to be the king on pipes and jetting. I have a '01 with a D&D slip on. Alot of people say no jetting is required and some say to turn the mixture 3 1/2 to 4 notches. Mine seems to back fire alot and won't start unless I help it with the throttle a bit when it's cold. Do you think I should change the mixture? And in the case that I do need to, where do I do that? I'm hoping to not have to rejet it for $$$ sake but it would be a heck of alot cheaper than a valve job.

well youv'e started off with the pipe that is like the micron it's ok for noise but it don't work that well, the popping on shut down is common for most pipes but if it is excesive then you may have an air leak from the headers back to the can, as for jetting to the can i first need to know where in the world you are and what has already been done to the carbs.
When i get to work i will get all the info you require and post it on here.

daveloco 01-15-2002, 06:21 AM rick007,
I'm in Dallas, Texas. Nothing has been done to the carbs and this is the pipe that was on it when I got it. I've got some pictures but they are all in 1600x1200 format! I'll have to get some smaller ones so I can post them here. Thanks for your help! :D

91221 12-30-2008, 08:37 AM Hey bro, I have an RS3 YOSHI slipon on my 2000 R1. When i originally researched the rejetting some 6 years ago, YOSHI recommended shimming the needles which I did. The bike runs great with no popping but the pipe is just too quiet. What do you recommend and if I in fact change the slipon will I have to rejet RICK007?
Fikays 12-30-2008, 08:44 AM Holy crap, dude. This is almost a 7 year old thread you resurrected! :lol The OP hasn't logged in since '02!

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were still looking for an answer.
if the yosh is too quiet for you, look for an akro or a graves or if you just want LOUD go for D&D.
if just a slip on you probably won't need to re jet.
if you want more power, get a full system & that will require jetting adjustment.
let me know if you have any other questions.
Honestly, I didn't mean to ignore you.
91221 12-31-2008, 11:03 PM Thanks and no problem
BSR-1 12-31-2008, 11:06 PM It might be kinda hard to find a pipe for your bike.
you may want to watch the for sale section on this forum & keep a saved search on ebay & see what turns up.
keep me posted, I'm interested to see how it turns out & will help any way I can.
where are you located?
91221 01-01-2009, 08:41 AM S.A., TEXAS. I like my Yoshimura don't get me wrong, but its kinda quiet.
