I have to say..if you want to show people that you belong in Moto GP...this is not the way to do it.

Roberts' Problems (http://motograndprix.tiscali.com/en/motogp/news_info/news_info_11737_1.htm?menu=news)

I personally think roberts doesnt belong in the motogp class. Just because his dad is a badass doesnt mean he is. Thats the only reason why hes in motogp, his dad. Nicky on the other hand earned it.

Well, a lot of people didn't believe Nicky belonged in Moto GP last year either. Look at all these Europeans coming up the right way in the 125 and 250cc classes, and then this American gets a factory honda seat by winning the AMA champ...Many Europeans were mighty pissed...

But then you see how much ass he kicked later in the year and you just know he deserved it.

Dude, the thing is NICKY EARED IT. He won here in the states (i forgot which one) AMA superbike 1000cc class. Not to mention all the other racing he's done. 125 and 250 compaired to that ??? NO compairison. Thats why Nicky got the seat, he has a lot of skill. Roberts on the other hand...Well, I just cant believe he crashed last year (I forget which track) on the last lap. :no

yeah but you've got to remember...125 and 250 are there for a reason. It gets the racers used to the international travel and the pressure. You might not realize that 250 is still a BIG thing in Europe. Not only that, but the 125 and 250 racers have also raced all of the tracks on the GP circuit before, which means they don't have to learn each of the tracks DURING the season...

But yes I still agree that Nicky earned it, and if you saw the news this morning....he's the first guy in the 2nd row for tomorrow's race =)

125 and 250 are irrelevant now as all the Moto GP bikes are now 4 cylinder. If they had stayed with the old design, it would be a different story. Most teams now are pulling tallent from WSB because the bike is now more similar in terms of feel than with the 2 strokes.

yes but you have to understand that 125 and 250 still have *somewhat* similar atmospheres to moto gp as they all race on the same day. 250 is still a big thing in a lot of the world. I still firmly believe that 250 guys have an advantage in that they have been racing on the tracks for longer.

That was in Mid-Ohio and it happened right in front of me. It was one of the most exciting races I saw in person.....
