Friday Rides

We will have organized rides/routes on planned so people can do the group ride thing and see the area... Some of the rides will be in coordination with the FZ1 Forum. -A ride loop that goes to Two Wheels Only (Long ride), but Great roads, with Lunch at TWO. - A ride loop that goes acrossed the Cherahola and loops around to the north, coming back over the dragon - A ride loop that takes people out route 28 and goes over to Franklin and some great less-traveled roads over there.. -Friday me and BKR1 will be taking the dirtbikes over to Upper Tellico ORV trails. Anyone who wants to join us for that is welcome. Details of all of these will be explained to everyone ahead of time, and Earache is getting together the routes/maps, and we'll set times and a specific place at the resort to leave from, 2 seperate times for the more spirited riders and normal rider. THE REAL QUESTION FOR THIS THREAD: Is anyone interested in doing a small group ride to go have lunch somewhere on Friday? Maybe over to one of the restaurants in Tellico plains? Lunch with the spouses in Gatlinburg? Somethiing along those lines... This will be in coordination with the FZ1 Forum. Let's here some opinions! __________________

The FZ1 guys will not be getting in until Friday. So I think what I will do is get maps of the routes printed out and see if Fontana will hand them out to each person when they check in. There will not be road captains for the rides. I will just put leaving times, and meeting location on the maps and whoever wants to go can meet up and leave together. Chad

Kevin info@mrcycles.com No biggie Kevin. I know that the guys from the FZ1 forum will be doing some of the same rides on saturday. So you might be able to hook up with them. But things will be going on at Fontana during the day on saturday too at Fontana. At least around lunch time.

Speak for Yourself Chad - I'll be there Wed. night or Thurs morning, and we've got a couple coming for the full week before!! Anyway - the ride routes will be done well in advance - we can e-mail them to everyone about a week before the rally, and the Desk at Fontana as well as the organizers, will have copies.. This friday ride is more of a nice calm ride to bring the spouses on and go eat a nice lunch, shop a little, etc...

Jeff and I was thinking about riding to Cooter's Place one day, I guess it's a restraunt owend by Crazy Cooter himself he's been wanting to go there so I figured we would hit it one day.

I'd love to do it. Sounds like a blast to me. I'm also planning on making a ride over to Clingmans's Dome. I went there when I was about 11 years old and would love to go back up the dome and take some pics.
