This is the site with the pic of the squid pulling a wheelie, with the hatchet faced broad on the back who's dressed even more squidly than he is. I won't waste your bandwidth... if you haven't seen the picture and won't take my word for it, click here. (http://808speed.com/bikes/june/2.html#)

all nutheads.. wish they would wreck while wearing just t-shirt and shorts on.. not at 60 or anything. but at oh.. maybe 30mph.. they'll feel that too.

Pretty strange hoping someone wrecks. I wrecked at 60 last year (first crash in ten years of riding stupidly) wearing t-shirt jeans and sneakers. Put a small hole in my hand, ruined my sneaker, and otherwise walked away unscathed. Still see me wheelieing down the highway at 80 mph in a tank top. See I guess some of us just dont learn. I hope you dont wreck.

Right on Wheelieman, I don't give a rat's :butt what people wear. And I certainly hope no one ever crashes for any reason, especially over "learning a lesson" If people who wear helmets think that the one's that don't are stupid, that's fine. But don't hope they wreck! lame:machinegu

A friend of mine is a fire rescue attendant. He told me that ever since the no helmet law was passed, pure statistics show less responses per 100 motorcycle accidents. He tells me because of the fatal head injuries going way up now they call the coroner much more often. You dont hear about these things but check the numbers. What happens when you smash your head on the floor at 20 mph without a helmet? Why does this madness go on?

Viper I totally see your point (wtf is this top gun?) and I understand where you're coming from. I got a hold of a better helmet (better cooling) and am starting to wear it more. But people will exercise their choices as long as they have them, nothing really can be done. Some will, some won't, that's pretty much it in the helmet wearing department. My only concern is that someone stated that they'd wish people that didn't wear protective gear crashed and that just made me sick. I also have a buddy of mine who's an EMT and when I asked him the question he turned around and asked me "Would you rather be dead or a veg?" I told him I thought I'd rather be dead so he said "don't wear the helmet then". It's crazy, I know that, and helmets are a very good idea just don't harass someone who doesn't see things the same way was all I was saying.

wear effin' helmets. period. scabs and abrasions come and they go, but you whack yourself in the head too hard and boom! out goes the lights....lets hope not forever. there are too many things that can go wrong with sustaining a head injury. hell, if you have to, ride naked.....just leave the helmet on!!!;)

I agree with you hittinyayas. It has been 110 (heat index) here for the past few days. I never see anyone here with full leather on in the dead of summer. Just too damn hot!! The helmet is a necessity though (and the law).:boobies
