Apart from that, I am in the local bike racing club and might be able to source you something from there.

Yeah, I've been to nearly all the big shops around here and they don't have anything for an 03 R1. Most shops can order it from interstate but they're charging me over $1000 bucks :mad: . hoping to buy one second hand for cheaper. If you could source around, would be appreciated, thx. :)

When you do get one, be careful, as I've had one pinched off one of our R1's. its now got the alarm hooked up to the damper so that if you unscrew it, the alarm goes off...... Bastards....

If you look on E Bay in the UK you will find a few Ohlins steering dampers for the 03 R1 they usually have the Harris fitting kit which is nicer than the Ohlins kit.I bought mine from the UK and the cost including postage for a nearly new unmarked damper and fiiting kit was $500.00.
