I'll be over in the OSR village. When you first enter the folly fair grounds, go left, in front of the concrete patch. Thats us! Usually we have christmas tree and 'icecicle' lights and we're watching tv... we also have the biggest bon fires you've ever seen. Come find me. Apparently I look like Shaggy from scooby-doo :dunno

sawboy
07-06-2004, 03:15 PM
Unfortunately I doubt we'll make it to the fair grounds, we're staying in town at a hotel and I hear that they've moved all the action to the community ctr downtown this year. maybe we'll see ya downtown!!

Sorry guys, never made it down town for more than 2 minutes. We paid our 20 bucks at the fair grounds and didn't get any wrist bands or anything but our names were taken down. We headed into town only to find out that it was another 20 to par-take in the festivities down there. We explained the situation but they were having none of it... so we took off and rode. Oh well, I heard we didn't miss out on anything. Had a good time. One of our guys crashed on 632 and broke his coller bone, his bike is in pretty good shape, and another one of our guys got a careless charge during the thunder run. I guess doing wheelies and stoppies and skitching is frowned upon by the cops even though everyone is holding signs to do so... ah well, he's gonna fight it. No worries. Pictures to come soon.

modsquadr1
07-11-2004, 09:13 PM
cool... we had a blast too.. we never paid $20 for anything... we spent most of Saturday downtown at the BOCC.. I did not know they busted guys for doing wheelies in the thunder run.... that sucks!!! there were some guys staying at our motel that crashed his BMW bike and then his buddy on a Hybusa ran over his bike and wiped out... it was a great weekend... and they pre-booked for next year...

mark, i was screwing around yesterday with the paint program, since all i had to work with. don't waste your time. i ended up just opening word and inserting the picture. then saved it resized to the desktop and loaded it that way. a little more time consuming but it worked.

sawboy
07-13-2004, 09:43 AM
Haha, its famous. It wasnt the clutch though. We installed the flywheel and stator in the parking lot the night before and I was worried that the flywheel had come loose so we shut it down on the dyno. Got it back to the hotel (after alot of exercise) and found that a bolt had backed off a tiny bit and was just rubbing the back of the flywheel. No big deal I should have left it on the dyno. Tell him the bike was fine, I want my dyno run next year though, ha. I paid $40 for one pull. oh well that gixxer dependability I guess:dunno

I'm sure if you called him he'd be more than happy to work something out with you. The Dyno is usually run on Saturday only though, but I'm not sure if he is flexible on this or not. No worries I was just joking I don't expect anything he was actually going to give it another run and I told him to shut it down. Actually I'm in London this week. I should stop by and let him know he didn't wreck anything.

modsquad and sawboy, in the pic of sawboys bike on the dyno, you have a couple of us in the photo. If you look at the back of the bike, you can see highside standing there in a black shirt. To his right is Mike from lightning performance. It was his gsxr with the purple and lightning bolts and everything cromed. Next to him is me. Although you can only see from my nose up. It was a great weekend. Too bad for your bike sawboy, what was the problem anyway. I thought it might be your bike but highside said it wasn't. Oh well. Maybe we'll see you next year. My bike went on the dyno 2 bikes after sawboys. By the way, did anyone hear how the guy is who hit the rock cut and was flown out?

sawboy
07-13-2004, 09:29 PM
The problem with the bike was that a bolt had backed off behind the flywheel and was rubbing on the back of it. I thought the flywheel had come off so I shut it down. Turns out it wasnt that serious, better safe than sorry I guess. I had just installed the flywheel and stator the night before so I assumed it had come loose. I'm sure highside was thinking that I still had my old R1, he's never seen the rat. Noone has actually as this was her maiden voyage.
