The weekend of May 22th Moroso is having Drag Bikes. Pretty interesting. Everything from Fat Boys to stretched turbo Busas. I think a couple of you guys ought to come up for bragging rights of the fastest Miami R1. However Berk said you guys are all as slow as old women and there's not a one of you who could even keep him in sight.

Also that weekend Moroso is opening their purpose built Kart track. I'm going to try to get out there with my kids sometime. Sounds like a fun thing to do with them. Oh yeah, Berk said he also is so fast on a Kart he'll race Moto in reverse and still beat him. I think he also said something about beating Broken using his mountain bike and Broken in a full out race kart. And then there was his crack about Yama being so old he coudn't go fast with an F-18.

We passed Moroso on the way back on last lake ride, about 10 miles east of 95.

Thanks for the heads up Scarab, we unfortunately will be out of town that weekend. I would really like to see what the cart track is all about and the bike drags are always awesome. As for Berky when his crazy eye starts wandering it is pretty hard to understand his Arablish and he tends to get things backwards.

He was probably trying to say:
-He feels like an Old Woman when he can't keep any of us in sight.
-Moto drives so crazy down in Miami he could be in reverse and beat most people.
-He could jump a Mountain Bike over broken and a Go Cart
-Yama is so fast he reminds me of an F-18. It is amazing someone of his age and accomplishments is so damn fast.

No he means like a drag launch, the whole point is to keep the front down.

I'll be gone the 15th through the 23rd. If I was here I'd give it a run. I've only tried launching twice, both times it was a fight to keep the front down.

The key is body placement, clutch modulation, and throttle control.

I want to make it out one of these evenings this week, wife don't have class friday so I should make it out before I leave Saturday at least. If she gets out early tonight or tomorrow I might make it out. I really want to do some more wheelies. They were feeling good last weekend and I don't want to go to long without doing anything.

Going out to the stunt spot Friday night or what? I thought about having my wife follow in the truck so she could get out on one of our nights for a while. Maybe if you guys wanted to bring out some wifes/girlfriends/kids or whatever that night?

Oh yeah Yama I think that is what Berk actually meant. Now I remember he actually also said something about feeling unworthy to ride with you guys, called it an honor to just be in the same city as you guys. Is that what you meant to say Berk?

Dwayne: Check out Moroso's site. As I remember they have at least one day they call test and tune where you just practice. People randomly line up, launch with the lights, and run down the strip but the timing lights are hooked up so they flash your speed and time after each run. Kind of cool. No pressure. If you pop a wheelie by mistake you can just tell everyone you were just goofing around. It's not a race so you can't win or lose anyway. In the actual races they somehow handicap the bikes so the slower bike launches first so a fat boy can actually beat a turbo busa down the track. It's kind of fun watching a Busa try to catch a Harley.

I have seen the drag cars do that, they have a dial in time and can't beat or "breakout" of that time. We had a cousin who raced for years, he said he was so sick of being the hunted that one day he spent his life savings on a true dragster, so he could be ther hunter instead. It was funny he would pull up next to a ford escort and the escort would leave 6 or 7 seconds earlier than him. It evens the playing field and makes it more about consistency. I still enjoy going to the track and watching the races where the competitors determine who is lining up against who and they just have at it.
