Ok--now Im riding stand up wheelies for a while-1 mile 2 miles--Once in a while I'll get the little red oil light pop on. I know that doing a wheelie will transfer oil away from the oil pump but is the sensor located somewhere else? I've had no problems with the engine-oil level is still fine-Anybody else getting this light?-its kinda freaking me out a bit. Blue '02 R1

So you say that you are doing 1 - 2 mile wheels......I am wondering where it is you do these? Just so I can come out and watch you. Anyway..... The reason your light comes on is because I would guess that the oil suction is on the front part of the engine. So when you do prolonged wheelies you begin to starve the engine for oil. That is why the oil light comes on.....low oil pressure. I would be careful when doing this because you can do a great deal of damage in a few seconds with low or no oil going to the engine.

We try to find secluded straitaways to do wheelies-Pungo Ferry Bridge, 264, 64, 464 lol. Recently We've been going out to suffolk where there isnt as many cops and the roads are longer.

Hey Moto02R1, I hit the same exact spots and still came up a yard short. I went as far as northern virginia on route 250 to find them straits but when i got there, i said f*ck them straits. Hello twisties!!!! As far as your oil light problem, i think Ducman996's explanation seems agreeable.
