What does this phase mean? "I'll give you two on the break/brake." When refering to racing and giving someone an advantage when racing. Does it refer to bike lenghts, gears, or something else.

I've oftentimes wondered the same thing. However, I thought it was, "I'll give you two and the break?" I hear drag racers say it all the time when one bike is not as powerful as the other. i.e. 'Busa racing a ZX9.....

Yeah, I think it refers to two bike/car lenghts, and I think the "break" refers to the rider with the headstart determining when the race will begin.... i.e., the rider/driver in back knows when to go by reacting to the other rider's/driver's launch. :dunno

That sound about right?

Be safe...

Thanks... That sounds right... I will not be racing anytime soon. Just wanted to know what it meant.
