R1 OUTCAST 06-16-2004, 08:49 PM I just installed the Amber Dancer taillight integrator for my 04 R1, and all I can say is IT'S AWESOME !!!!!! I was a bit nervous about the whole idea, but man was it worth it ! For all you people out there who love the look of the stock LED configuration, this board looks identical except it is brighter !!! The turn signals are very distinct, no guessing at all ! Installation was a bit time consuming, but with a little care, it was a breeze. The instructions were very clear, and the supplies provided were professional, along with the new LED board AND the customer service !!! I highly recommend this product ! Give Sam a call or check out his website at Samanna Systems, you won't be disappointed ! Dave. :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup
jeffaustin 06-23-2004, 05:53 AM Hey - Sounds great - do you have any pics or a link to the website? I have been waiting for something like this....
NY2NJ 06-23-2004, 07:16 AM I have the same kit and I get compliments on it all the time. I'll try to upload a video later tonight. I've seen the CustomLED and it looks really good too in my opinion. I just prefer the Amber Dancer though because it keeps the stock LED look whereas the CustomLED almost looks like incandescent bulbs because it has more LEDs.
jeffaustin 06-23-2004, 08:02 AM Great - I will wait for your info - do you have any good 2004 fender eliminator kits? Curious to know what yous are using...

PM jkrstich, he has fender kits for around $30. You might also try www.ballmoto.com. The owner, Moose3 is a forum member as well. His kits are a few dollars more.
jeffaustin 06-23-2004, 12:44 PM Nice stuff - Geez you americans are lucky!!! Do you want to buy and igloo???
R1 OUTCAST 06-23-2004, 08:38 PM I used my reflector brackets for my fender eliminator. After bending them a little, simply mount them to the holes back furthest under the tail where the stock fender attatched. Hey, they're free, or well, you already paid for them and removed them, so why not ?
jeffaustin 06-24-2004, 06:05 AM Hey Nova Scotia - is it possible that you can take a pic for me? Send her to jeffaustin2000@hotmail.com That would be great. How far do you live from Truro? My next door neighbour is from there...
NY2NJ 06-24-2004, 09:50 AM I tried posting a video of the Amber Dancer on my bike, but I think the mods axed it because Samanna Systems is no longer a sponsor here. It was successfully uploaded and was pending approval and now it's gone :dunno. I'll try to host the video myself, but I won't be able to do so until later tonight.
jeffaustin 06-24-2004, 12:31 PM Dark Horse - send it to my email jeffaustin2000@hotmail.com
NY2NJ 06-24-2004, 07:03 PM Click here (http://www.newmillsolutions.com/Amber Dancer.zip) for the video. The video quality isn't the greatest and it does not show the signals with the brake lights on.
jeffaustin 06-25-2004, 05:51 AM Great! Love it! How did you guys go about ordering them? over the internet or did you call them? I want to get mine ASAP. Thanks for the video!

You can order over the internet, but I strongly suggest calling and asking questions about the kit's design and quality. You will feel better about the buy. Sam seems willing to answer any question asked, regardless of how simple (or complex) it may seem.
jeffaustin 06-28-2004, 07:31 AM Hey - one more question... does it shine red or yellow when you brake? I saw another style that seemed to brake yellow... kinda weird. I would hope that this samanna unit flashes red to brake and only yellow to signal...

Brake and running lights = red
Signals = yellow
jeffaustin 07-06-2004, 03:46 PM Hey - any good thoughts on cutting open the original taillight assy? I just got my Sammana Light and am planning on attempting the job soon. I also have a question on the road abbraision that may occur from completely removing the rear mudflap assy - Have any of you done this? and how much of any abbraision has occured? I am thinking of applying clear plastic protective tape on the painted surfaces. Any advice would be great! Thanks.
DBL"R"GUY 07-08-2004, 01:20 PM Your best bet on cutting open the light assy would be to use a dremmel with a cutting weel. Cut the clear plastic about half way through where the clear and black are glued together, cutting all the way around the light. After the cutting you will have to "Break" the bond that the glue still has on the plastic. Slowly work your way around the light until you have 2 pieces. A few tips. Clean the clear part very well before reassy. as your skin oils will be visible from the super glue oils. 2I did have a tough time getting my light "open" and I used a thicker "Sealant" glue to "Fix" my light and the way the Assy is mounted the only part to be seen is the very back of the clear part.
I also removed my rear fender and have seen no damage to any surfaces on the bike. My only complaint is that because of the supports for the swing arm being on the bottom the swing arm itself creates a "shelf" for dirt or whatever to sit on and bee seen. BOttom line if you like your bike to look clean get a nice Carbon fiber chain guard/fender combo.
GOOD LUCK ON EVERYTHING!!

ezl_oo 07-09-2004, 08:37 AM I installed the UFO Kit on my 04 R1 from hightechspeed.com and love it!! It also comes with Yellow turn signals and could customize the brake lights, running lights, and turn signals which are now amber when ever you want or get bored of the same signals. Awesome kit it came with step by step instructions so its easy to install!! Love it.
