: My brake lights, uh...blink.

I bought my '00 R1 used and completely stock except for the guy seemed to take off the rear blinkers and wired them to the brake lights. Problem is that I believe he wired them wrong. When I squeeze the brake, the brake lights blink, both of them. The blinkers are wired to the brake light to where it makes the corresponding brake light blink. I'm more than likely going to get a tail kit but I need to re-wire the tail temporarily until I order the new tail. Can the blinkers be wired in such a way, or should I just un-wire the blinkers for now?

BTW, take a look at this tail I'm thinking or ordering and tell me what you think.

Don't buy from them, Their tails are shit and they might rip you off!! Check out www.sportbikeguy.com and see how many people have been ripped. Buy dussault's tail. Looks much better and the quality is great. www.graphicartmotodesign.com

Thanks for the info Chris. I would have never known. They look like great tails, but I suppose looks aren't everything. It's what I keep telling the ladies anyhow.

The reason your lights blink is because the green wire on the intergrater is hooked up,it is normal and meant to be a safety feature,if you don't like it you can disconnect that wire
