My 2003 R1 was stolen on Sunday (june 27,2004) morning off Loch Raven Blvd, between 2 and 6 in the morning. It was removed from the garage along with a Honda 400EX four wheeler. The R1 had a M4 high mount exhaust, a sportech chrome windscreen, a tank pad that the top part of it comes off a lot, a Fender eliminanator with a tag light that makes the license plate lower then it should be. Quite honestly I do not think I am gonna get it back, but I figure if anyone can tell the difference between one R1 and another it would be someone who has one, so I have several posts up hoping either someone sees it, or noticed that jimmy down the street has a new bike. I spent two years saving up for this thing and hate to see it go. :(

I will keep an eye out for it, but it is probably chopped to pieces already. I had one stolen a few years back and the money I got back from the insurance company was more than I expected. Good Luck.

The working theory is that it is not a chop job. As one opens the garage the first thing to hit the eyes will be a Akripovic full system hanging on the wall, from there you will see My old exhaust, my pasenger seat, pasenger pegs and most stock parts from 6-7 bikes. They would have taken that stuff if it was a chop job as they are easier to deal with. I can only hope though, and thanks for looking out.

Man, sorry to hear about it, will keep an eye out as well.
IS it the same color in the picture and do you have a recent photo of it.
That will help anyone to identify the bike easier.

I am going to try, but am not sure how to post pictures. I guess I have to post them to an internet site to put them on the forum. It looks the same as any other silver '03. The things I did to it that are visable are the sportech windshield that is not see through, A fender eliminator with a tag light that made the license plate hang a little lower then it should. The M4 high mount carbon fiber exhaust that was never fully tightend (if they are riding it I hope they tightened it!) and the cheesy carbon tank pad that would peel back at the top. If you want me to I will send anyone the flyer I made and distributed to all the dealers in the area and the houses around me along with just about anyone I could. I would like to thank anyone who was looking out, I am happy there are good people out there. .... OH, if you get close to the bike look at the left mirror and there will be a small cut/ gouge on the top of the black plastic. Thanks man. :rock
