Great guys, we have 6 people so far. I'll keep you all posted. I've talked to Graves they said it adds 5 HP directly to midrange power, Also they are for all R1's not just 2002. :) To reply to the earlier post, they come with 2 stacks for the intake if my memory is correct.

Call me stupid but I don't know what a velocity stack is. I went to Graves sight but don't see anything like that. Do you guys mean the forced air box?

You just get stacks for #2 - #3 cyl. Graves said they got better response and more power from using just 2.

Velocity stacks are kind af a funnel that fits on the opening entrance of a carbeurator or injector body. By changing the length of these you alter the powerband. I have them on my 02 and yes they kick ass but not without a little mapping. They are more than worth every penny. The graves kit comes with two stacks, and I believe the injected ones will be different from the carbeurated ones.

I would like a set also do you think they would do anything on the ram airbox?

Velocity stacks are like a ventury that mounts on your intake. I think it makes the air flow faster into the carbs / throttle bodies. It works on the basis of the ventury effect that as air is moving through a tube, if the dia. of the tube gets smaller, the air will move faster. I'm sure some else can describe it better. This probably doesn't make sence and I'm not even sure that I spelled 'ventury' correct... but at least I'm trying.:confused: I don't understand why it works better on only 2 carbs / throttle bodies instead of all 4?

The graves stacks will work in the graves airbox. If youre planning to get both, do them together so youlll only have to map once.

Custom mapping of youre own personal machines setup will always optomize your power curve. Different parts combinations require different maps.

Does GRAVES have a map available. I have their full Ti exhaust. Do they have a map for the exhaust and stacks?? Let me know! THANKS

Thanks to Sundowner and Viper for answering the questions for me, it's not that we're to cool guy's it's that I've been a little busy getting to the puter. Sorry if that pissed anyone off. What they said is correct it funnels in more air kinda like a highrise manifold on a car. Good question Sparticus I mean Gladiator. No you don't need a PC to add the HP, but If you guys want a group buy on PC3R's for the R1 I can do that also. They would be about $360 for you all. Let me know if this is what you all want? Also to answer another question put out there"ram air box" If you look at the poll I have on the deals section about them it is a poll I set off just to see if anyone was interested. If you are let me know there seems to be some concern as to how to adjust or fine tune the mods when your done, and I truely understand there point, I wouldn't want to speend alot of $$$$ then find out my shit isn't running right. Hey Wicked i thiught I did answer the question. YOU need 1 set just 1 not 2 sets. 1 set(2 velocity stacks) not 4 velocity stacks. I have only gotten 4 orders so far. I also will accept Paypal. :D

This deal is still going on. Call me at 1-866-300-4930 "UPDATE" The 1st. ten have been shipped and you guys should have received or will receive them this week. Let me just say it should not take any normal wrenching person a long time to put them on. Just remember that there is a screw in the top "CENTER" of the airbox so don't force it open. Take your time and make sure all the hose's and the censor on the right hand side (as you sit on it) is connected. If anyone needs more info let me know I will answer any questiona you might have.

The bike that was dynoed was a stocker with just the velocity stacks, no other mods.

Ok, I don't mean to ask something that has been addressed before but I have a 2000 R1 and want to know if the stacks would work well with that. I am going to take my bike in soon for tuneup, jet kit etc..... I have a Leo Vinci High mount slipon .... I would like to buy the stacks and had intended to purchase them but it seemed like they are for the fuel injuection 02 R1's. Thanks Jim
