I just purchased Ride Engineering's fender eliminator for my '02 R1. It cost me $54.95 + $7.65 for shipping. Check out their website at www.ride-engineering.com. What attracted me the most was two things: the apparent quality of the product and the ability to retain the stock turn signals. I was not dissappointed either. What makes this unit different than all the others I've seen that cost more is the machined plastic spacer that fits between the bracket and the undertail, thereby having the same contact area as the stock fender. This product is high quality, with the spacer, bracket, and hardware, and ships with TWO pages of detailed instructions. Sounds daunting, I know, but installation was very straightforward and easy. I highly reccommend this product. I have attached a side view of it on my red R1.

i have had the same for a yaer now, and also love it. You did forget to mention that the signals are tucked in as well by removing the rubber extensions to the stalks. And you are correct, retatining the stock rear signals was a large consideration for me as wel. That way all the idiot cagers can see me signalling from behind.....:crash
