Lost a good friend yesterday

Hey guys don't know if any of you watched the news around the Kawartha Lakes but a good friend got killed on his bike going to work yesterday. Real nice guy. A pickup pulled out in front of him on Little Brittan Rd. and he hit the drivers door. It was a municiple truck with a 19 year old girl behind the wheel, the early mornning sun made it hard for her to see and she pulled away from a stop sign rite in front of my friend Steve. He going to be missed by a lot of people. Please all you guys keep your head up on your bike. Chris.

Chris, is steve the guy who came on last years june ride, on the cbr? Is the girl driver being charged? if there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

RIP unfortunatley accidents do happen and not everyone can be charged for vehicular manslauter everytime. but it must have been his time to go and he will be in a better place now. RIP

No Mark thats Jason I don't think you met Steve he was riding a TL 1000. He was a retired racer, won a national Championship 1994. He was 41 and unfortunately he is leaving a wife and two daughters behind. Charges are pending but imagine the girl is going to get careless driving. Thanks Chris.

RIP. What series did Steve win in 1994? As far as charges, based on the info in this thread, the only charge that seems to apply is fail to yield right of way. I don't see how careless applies.
