who's dumber, Vale or Sete?

From a motogp.com log entry by Randy Mamola... As I [Mamola] sat in the departure lounge [in Rio], waiting for the flight with Sete and Nicky Hayden, Valentino came walking past and I caught an awkward glance between him and Sete. It was probably the first time they had seen each other properly since the podium at Assen, when there was a bit of bad feeling over Rossi’s pass. Neither of them seemed to know what to say, but Sete broke the ice. "I don't know who's more dumb – me or you," he said. Rossi smiled back and replied: "I think we both win the first prize for that one" :yesnod

Interesting quote...I wonder what the background is behind that.

Rossi proceded to loose the front a little over half way through the race. Both felt dumb and it was a hard weekend for both. Oh well the championship has never been closer and it can only get better!

Dumb question ! Val is by far the dumber of the 2 , all he had to do was finish and he would stretch his lead . But maybe he wants it to be close , so he wrecked on purpose !?:dunno :riding :)

No one is going to crash on purpose give me a break. You could get hurt and be out the rest of the season. Rossi is not even good enough to crash and know for sure he is not going to get hurt . I tell you what is going to hurt when he looses the championship and Honda takes it again. Great season for MotoGP this year....

The only thing he won't have (if he loses) is the first place trophy and check because he'll still be seen as the best rider regardless of who wins the championship.

At this point it's not about the money. For Rossi it's about proving to Honda that he can win without them and that's all he cares about right now. Has he won races on the Yamaha Yes but can he win the championship well that has yet to be seen.

well, after the last race in Germany and Gibernau crashing ....again....it seems to me that he might be the dumber of the two. As for the championship....well Rossi is still leading it isn't he? (and still in front of the army of RC211V)

I think with the c'ship so close this year-they both realise that crashing out how they did(Sete at the start, then Rossi later on-when he shouldve just cruised as such to finish with some points)was kinda dumb:D

That is what I love about Rossi. He came to please the fans. Sure he could have played it safe and puttered to points position, but he chose to go for it all. Makes it more exciting.
