Hi
im a new rider, on a 250 moving wanting more power.
some say i should stick to a 600 like an r6
while others say just save the money and just jump straight up to a 1000
as a 250 rider, should i stick to a 600 till i get used to the power or just go straight to an R1?

goto the 600.
natural progression........600's are cheaper on insurance too.

Depends on your maturity. If you won't be grabing gobs of throttle right off the bat then get what you want.
You can kill yourself in a heartbeat on either bike. But either bike will only do what you tell it to.
In terms of weight and what not there's not much difference. IN terms of power, the R1 has alot more of course, but it's your hand that controls it.
I guess the question is, do you trust yourself? :)

ya. thats what ive been told. but what about around corners.. is it easier to lose the back wheel around corners and stuff because the throttle would be more sensitive?

actually not totally true my brother...600's cook the turns and I have seen some damn fast 600's in my life.
alot to do with rider also...anyone can go fast in a straightline.....get in the turns and you may have a different story on your hands

My feeling exactly :yesnod
There is a huge difference in power delivery from a 250 vs. a 600, and a 600 vs. a 1000 :scared
Stick with natural progression & get the 600, your posterior will thank you :lol
