Hey gawarrior , Tpole , the YZ is fixed !!

So I ordered some main jets , smaller in size than the 172 in there and I was going to drop the needle / raise the clip to lean it out but when i removed the float chamber the pilot jet fell out !!!!!!:eek: I Screwed it back in , put the carb back together , put it back on , runs like a 426 killer !!:crash

I just rode it for about 10 minutes and it was screaming !!If I had removed the float chamber when I had the carb off at Tellico I could have been riding it !! Oh well , I have smaller jets and know what to do now if I get in the mountains and or higher humidity and it runs rich . Lets go to the Gap or to brown mtn this coming weekend !?

I have been wanting to do either for a while. But I am doing Jennings sunday. Can't pass up $75 trackday with lunch provided. But after this month I really don't have anything planned until maybe october at Barber if we still do that. So let's get together and ride. I think Eric and some of the guys are looking at maybe a Gap trip weekend of August 27th. I think I will plan on that, but I am open for whatever.

I am considering hitting a MX track tomorrow. Don't know yet. But now with the YZ setup I have on my bike it is totally different. And Should be great on the MX track. I have one about 35-40 minutes from my new house. Plus it has a flat track and a 3 mile woods trail too. You should come down here soon and we can hit the MX track on the dirtbikes and then hit N. Georgia on the Streetbikes. Have to make it a couple of days though.

I hope this fall we will do several trips . I am racing my jetski 3 out of four weekends in August so I dont think I will make the gap that weekend in Aug. Now that it is fixed I can focus on planning a trip with it !

Someone think they have a 426 killer 'eh? :hellobye Something makes me think a lil carb work may not get you roosting me on a track :lol This used to be a stock 426 until I sunk about $5k into her. :thumbup

went looked at a 04 wr 250f today. look like a good buy. not a scratch. had about 300 miles. asking $4500. but when i rode it i was a little disapointed how slow it is. i think if i get one i'll get a 450.

my friend scott who has a cr 250 2 stroke rode it and thought the same thing. scott weights about 150 pounds. i don't know if i'm ready to get on the 4 stroke bandwagon. i like to ride 450 just to see

I have the 2 stroker . I bought it brand new in 2000 , I love it , but eventually I will purchase a four banger , but keep the 2 stroke ! I hate jet skiers also ! :lol We ride in one cove with a bouy course set up almost every Sunday , the fisher man know thats the only place we ride . I fish alot myself and there is nothing worse than a disrespectful , ignorant jetskier getting ridiculously close to us !:mad:

We have some pretty cool ORV trails in N. Carolina and Ga. that we ride. And definately think about the East Coast Convention next year, cause we will most definately be riding dirt then too.

I got a buddy with a 426 as well and we'll definately be down :rock OVR trails sound awesome, I love trail riding as I can open my girl up and get some 5 gear wheelie action in :rock I only get to see motorcross tracks around here and I never get to trail ride as the only dedicated trails are for quads only. ,:cryin

By far the coolest place I have ever been on dirt bikes ! :) I really hope you and your buddy can make the convention with your dirt bikes , you will love Tellico ORV , no doubt !

Its not so bad . I got to do it so I can save up for a 450 F ! My 250 is in excellant shape though , so I am in no hurry .:dollar

The motor and suspension is already the same as the YZ. So the only thing that remains from the ol WR days is the headlight. So no worries, just watch out for the big roost, and their legs will be plenty stretched just trying to keep the up with the thumper. :D
