Do the fairings have to be cut?
I'm defanitly interested if I can get a better look at the goods. ;)
Tucciim 07-12-2002, 11:09 AM they look pretty nice. can you make clear lenses as well?
and not to be a dick but at 100$ i'd hardly call it a deal. i'd bet you are getting 80$ profit per set
JJJAMN 07-12-2002, 12:13 PM I will post Pics of mine tonight. The Quality is Exceptional. I got the Polished ones.
candmforever 07-12-2002, 12:21 PM Will the turn signals blink faster, or do you need to add a resistor? Any cutting of the wires or is it a direct connection to the exisiting wires?Could you post pics of the attachment?

JJJAMN 07-12-2002, 10:10 PM :)
JJJAMN 07-12-2002, 10:18 PM Maniac... I will take some tomorrow in the Sun... My Garage is not big enough to take a Full Bike shot on both sides and its not the right light... Here is one though.
JJJAMN 07-12-2002, 10:30 PM These are Graphic Art Moto Design's for the 02 R-1. They are 99.95 plus Shipping and they dont even look right. They sit at that funky angle and cover the R-1 Graphics.
illusion 07-12-2002, 10:34 PM just wondering which one would look better on the red one, the polished or the white
JJJAMN 07-12-2002, 10:43 PM I could not decide either, so I went with the polished. If I/You want to change to a color then you can paint it.
But I have to say the Polished looks very very good. A picture really does not do this justice. :D
mancuso 07-13-2002, 08:27 AM Dude, those are defanitly bad-ass! I'd really love to have a set of those! Two questions though...
Could you post a picture of the blue ones?
Are you considering a group-buy promotional price?
Those look great. Do you have to cut the fairing??
THE MUFFIN MAN 07-14-2002, 06:39 AM jjjamn, check your pm!!!!!!!!!

R WON 07-14-2002, 08:03 PM JJJAMN-- THE PICTURE THAT YOU HAVE POSTED OF THE SILVER 2002 R1, WHERE ARE THOSE FRONT TURN SIGNALS FROM? CAN I BUY THEM AND HOW MUCH.

Gregg's Customs 07-16-2002, 04:13 PM I'll post some pics of the blue turn signals as soon as I can!
Gregg's Customs 07-16-2002, 04:17 PM I've got a couple of orders for blue that will be arriving to customers early next week. I'll tell them to post pics once they are installed.
DO YOU HAVE TO CUT OR MODIFY THE FAIRING AT ALL?? I've seen this question asked and no one has answered !!! PLEASE ANSWER !!
NY2NJ 07-18-2002, 10:56 AM DO YOU HAVE TO CUT OR MODIFY THE FAIRING AT ALL?? I've seen this question asked and no one has answered !!! PLEASE ANSWER !!
No cutting or modifying of the fairing at all.
Grifter 07-18-2002, 11:15 AM Nope, no cutting. The fit is nothing short of phenominal. got my next day and had them in 10 minutes after. definatly easier if you take of your fairings
adrianr1 07-18-2002, 11:31 AM any chances of you making some for the earlier model R1? I would love to have these on my 99!!! =(
Seinfeld 07-18-2002, 11:42 AM Do they stay as running lights?
Does the package come with instructions for installition, cause I am a little electrical incompetent.:yesnod
If so I am definitly down for a set.
Please let me know if the instructions are there!:thumbup
I think they look a little better than what I was thinking of getting
Below.........................
Gregg's Customs 07-18-2002, 11:43 AM I am thinking about it. I will work on designing the housing next week. I'll try to get them to market within a month, but no promises.
Gregg's Customs 07-18-2002, 11:45 AM I do include an instruction sheet. Also I can help with the install by phone if you have any questions/problems.

Watch your ass and make sure you dont get screwed. He never posted a pic from Texas Fairing... that pic was posted by silversurferR1, who said he had been thinking about getting TexasFairing mirrors with the built in lights, but had decided to get gdesjard's new turn signals instead.
Gregg has responded promptly to my emails, and is sending a set with JJJamin' Jay to Thunderhill this week. Jay is absolutely a standup guy -- hell, he loaned me a pair of socks when I didn't have a pair, fer chrissake! -- and if he says these are the shit, they are.
AFAIK, Gregg makes these himself. I doubt he anticipated such a heavy response from this site, and I'm sure he's responding to others as soon as time allows.
I'm just trying to get in touch with the man who makes the best flushmount blinkers known to man. I'd really like to pick up a pair so if I have to be put on a waiting list then so be it. But please GDESJARD if you are out there please PM me or return my emails so I can be put on your waiting list !!!
Anyone else who has dealt with him or knows how to get in touch with him please ask him to check this thread !!
Thanks guys,
I'm trying to make my R1 look the best that it can be so I can represent up here in Washington !!!
The One 07-20-2002, 07:48 PM Well i must be really confused.... :bash
Sorry about that....
JJJAMN 07-21-2002, 12:27 AM Thanks for the Kind words RLMEsq.... gdesjard is at a bike show in So. Calif this weekend and not accessing e-mail till Sun night or monday. He has been completly overwhelmed by the demand for these lights. I am sure he will get back to you asap.
RLMEsq... I am tring to get to TH this week with PTT but I might have to cancel. If not I will be there for the Wed sessions. I am overloaded @ work with a project and I might not be able to get away. I will e-mail you and let you know.
J-
If you have not received any info yet, I suggest you send him another e-mail entitled
(Second Attampt To Contact You Re: Flushmounts)
Not that you have been overlooked I just bet he has been busy. Last 2 weeks he had WSBK @ Laguna, Cannery Row in Montery & a Bike show in So. Cal.
Just a suggestion :)
JJJAMN,
Thanks for the inside scoop !! I am hoping to hear from him soon then. I'll Email him again tuesday if I don't hear from him! Thanks!
TS02R1
Gregg's Customs 07-23-2002, 10:47 AM Sorry for any lack of response guys. Like Jay said...it's been kinda crazy the last few weeks. Just to clarify, these signals are NOT from Texas Fairing. They do resemble the signals that T.F. sold for the '98-'01 R1s, but mine are higher quality and brighter and they are for the '02 R1.
Right now I am sold out of signals. I am going to get more components so I will have more available asap. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
Gregg
selftc 07-23-2002, 11:06 AM i have been always concerned about visibility, but screw visibility, those are sweet ! ! ! ! :rock please let us know if/when those will be available for pre '02 models. i want some.....:jump :makeout :jump
mancuso 07-23-2002, 08:58 PM I'm still waiting to see what the friggen blue ones look like. Oh well... I guess I'll have to wait.
windchaser 07-27-2002, 09:22 AM when are you go to get some more turn signal in??and I have been E mail you couple a time already. what's going on??:hellobye
TITANIUMR1 08-08-2002, 04:04 PM So are they a direct connect to the stock harness or do we have to splice and dice?
Gregg's Customs 08-08-2002, 05:19 PM Splice and dice.
TITANIUMR1 08-09-2002, 06:29 AM Ok thanks!.........:thumbup
natas 08-12-2002, 09:00 AM i sure am glad i joined this board. i've been searching high and low for some signals that are this slick. i'm definitely interested in getting a set of these.
natas 08-12-2002, 09:05 AM oh yeah, just a little more info. if you guys are splicing wires out there, there are these things called "posi-locks." they make splicing really easy and they allow you to disconnect the splicing when ever you need to without having to cut the wires again. you can get them at any auto parts store.
