MAM Trackday Talk

Thought we needed a thread on MAM trackday discussion, since MAM is located in Iowa. Post pics, lap times, hints for getting around as fast as possible or whatever. My wife was there last week and took some pics that I'll post up later. I'll try to take my camera next time and get some of Stunt_girl on her R6. In the meantime, here's a pic of Robert Jensen backing his R1 into turn 5. Awesome.

Hey, did you know I was there that weekend? The Track Addix day, right?

Yeah, he actually has the record on his R6, but is only .5-1 second behind on the R1. I'll be in Florida over Labor Day. I didn't want to spend that much for a Track Addix day when I can go every Thursday for $10-$20. You're getting smoother out there. Lookin' good.

I know Robert, he is a cool dude!!! You should see him do some ice riding in the winter, now thats a show!!!!! MAM is a real sweet track, just wish it had some more elevation to it. IT was hard for me to see the next turn because it's so flat.

very cool picture!! it would be even better if he had smoke rolling off the tire as he was coming out of the corner! I was there earlier this year for the first time. I loved it and I'll definetly be back next season.

That's awesome. Very fast. I went out last Thursday, but my tires are gone so I about crashed in every corner. ;) So you got a lap timer? And what made you get the extra 3 seconds a lap on your fast time?

yep, I got my suspension set up finally and am running bridgestone 001, that and trying to beat your last lap kinda did it for me

I haven't even touched a dial on my suspension since I got the bike. I'm consistently in the :45-:46 range though, so it must not be too bad. ;) I'll have to get a lap timer. I bet I was near your :43 during that track day when the class was out (a few weeks ago). I was flying that day!! This winter I'm planning on getting some braided lines, new pads, possibly a timer, and I'm going to try to find a spare set of rims, 1 for street, 1 for track. If I have enough cash, I'll get some suspension work done too.

Damit all to hell...I want to be out there with you Erick.

Abby was runnin' us ragged out there this weekend. I toasted two sets of tires.
