thanks, chad has been in touch with me on this as well, im thinking im gonna go with the three inch, im about 140 pounds and my girl is about 110 im wodering if it will be ok, judging by the pic i think it would be as far as the fairing rubbing the ground is concerned. whats your take on this since youve seen the bike lowered? im not trying to be a pain in the ass its just i only want to do this once;) thanks for all your help
pbfaster 09-01-2004, 09:12 AM I like the look :thumbup
I know it would help on the strip but what affect will it have on the handling in the turns?
Thanks
pilot_R1_2004 09-01-2004, 09:15 AM Please describe the upsides and downsides of having lowering links installed...
if you gain somewhere, you gotta loose somewhere... so whta's the deal with this setup?
SpidermanSS 09-01-2004, 10:08 AM These links retain a correct shock rate... Lowering is used for drag racing or when you need ground clearance (hieght wise)... Downsides are if your a knee dragger all the time clearance is affected..
Crowbar.. the bike inthe picture is our shipping manager's, he's about 180 and his girl about 130 and they ride double up...

SpidermanSS 09-01-2004, 11:03 AM That's cool we are open till 6pm... eastern time..
Great News! Just placed my order.
Bigg-e 09-03-2004, 07:35 PM I am on the list but I haven't recieved an email yet....does that mean there is that long of a line? Just making sure I didn't get forgot.
Shane, in the picture, how far is your Shipping Manager's bike lowered in the front? Did he raise the forks in the triple clamps 1" to lower the front end or did he use straps to go lower? Sorry for all the questions but I like that look and I need to decide what to do.
SpidermanSS 09-05-2004, 04:56 PM Bigg-e.. I made sure they attempted to contact everyone on the list last week. They are scarce on this first run, here's the direct link to pick them up from the site..

AQK1... We raised the forks 1 inch up in the tubes.... at the races Greg uses a tie down strap to put another 1 inch out of it... :)
newR1 09-11-2004, 01:08 PM I know nothing about lowering bikes, so this may be a stupid question, but will puting these links on the bike lower it, or are they just meant to help out after you've already lowered it?
SpidermanSS 09-11-2004, 02:10 PM they lower the seat height of the bike for drag racing or when people are shorter then most and need to be able to touch the ground better... :)
newR1 09-12-2004, 12:43 PM how hard is to to install these? are these do it your self? I want a set of the three inch links, but I was wondering if someone could give me a little more info on the installation process.
Also how do you lower the front so it's not just sitting low in the rear only?
SpidermanSS 09-12-2004, 03:10 PM You lower the front by loosening the triple clamps and raising the fork tubes in the bike. If you are a serious drag racer and really need clearance we can have the forks internally cut to lower them 2 inches.
To install the triangles it's a (little tight working space).. look under your swingarm and you will see 2 triangle shaped brackets that attach to your swingarm, shock and link.. You remove those and replace them with ours (pictured above)..
newR1 09-13-2004, 09:49 AM so the silver one in the picture has the 3 inch links and the forks are raised 1 inch? If so let me know when you will have more 3 inch links in stock so I can order set. :yesnod Thanks for the quick replys to my questions.
SpidermanSS 09-13-2004, 10:10 AM I'm expecting the next shipment in a few weeks .. Hopefully sooner.. It's best to order them off the site so you'll get them right away when they come it.
