jwedow 09-01-2004, 06:34 PM Installed the Puig double bubble on my 04 last night. I was impressed with the fit and overall quality of the windscreen. What I like most is the huge difference it makes when riding at highway speeds. I used to get pushed all over by the constant wall of air, but no more! I would recommend this product to anyone who owns the R1.

02R1guy 09-01-2004, 06:43 PM Yup they are real good screens :)

JJH0138 09-20-2004, 09:24 AM why did you pick the puig over zero gravity? trying to decide which one to purchase for myself.
thanks.

i second the PUIG! very well made!
reggie 09-30-2004, 12:06 AM where can i get one?
windchaser 09-30-2004, 12:19 AM PUIG are very well made screen
croc1 09-30-2004, 01:50 AM i felt the same way when i installed my puig good fit and better control at higher speeds
rafcon 09-30-2004, 01:39 PM Ditto. I just installed mine as well, and the difference is amazing. It looks a little different but definitely real nice; and looking over the front fairing feels a little different, as I used to be able to see down the front to the road without any obstacles. But the wind used to toss me around and now it is so slight, it is hardly noticeable, and tucking in is easier as you don't have to hug the tank so tightly to avoid all the wind.
Definitely should have done this change earlier. I only have a small amount of worry when I read about the magnifying effect that can possibly happen. Has anyone found this to be a problem? I have the light smoke, so I am wondering if it is more a problem with the clear ones, or if light smoke owners should be worried as well.
jborino21 09-30-2004, 04:05 PM you can get them off ebay fairly cheap. they have them on there all the time.
BIFFERONE 09-30-2004, 04:19 PM PUIG DB windscreeen for the '04 was the 1st mod I made. Being 6'3", it gives me a better view of the instruments. The stock windscreen was too low. I couldn't see the top of the tach.
PUIG is thicker than the ZeroGravity and just a solid windscreen. A MUST HAVE for the '04 R1. You will not be disappointed.
Chris
damann 10-02-2004, 08:41 PM The money are hard to come by these day. Thank for the wonderful advise for me to buy the best product without testing. I am short but still have problem with OEM screen is too low. Thank again friend.
OneBadWagon 10-09-2004, 03:59 PM the zero gravity screens are brittle.
i have a puig and so far am very happy with it.
R1one 10-27-2004, 08:06 PM Puig Screen is the way to go. quality is better then the rest i have seen. no seriously its the quality !
xdonniedarkox 10-27-2004, 08:12 PM Just got a Fabbri. Good fitment and great build. Really impressed, was going with Puig but got a smokin deal on the Fabbri...

You took the words right out of my mouth!! My exact situation and thoughts..
Dreyfusduke 01-12-2005, 10:48 PM :thumbup I love my puig screen on mine! My girlfriend bought me mine for Christmas and it is a perfect overall fit. I got the light-smoke version and it looks beautiful on the red, 04 R1.
45 Please 01-13-2005, 03:02 PM :thumbup
Thunderheart 01-13-2005, 06:47 PM I installed a Puig dark smoke double bubble on my 02 R1 last year. After working in the plastic industry for a long time I can tell you it is the best I have seen. There is no cold forming - meaning the lines are well formed, sharp and not distorted. The optics are very nice as well.
My $.02
KNEEDY R1 01-13-2005, 06:53 PM I am impressed with mine:thumbup
r6man 01-17-2005, 08:22 PM That's the latest mod i've done and the fit and finish rocks. It comes with a piece for the top of the screen that finishes it off real nice. If you take the sticker off you would almost think it's factory. I got the smoked db(race) shield at cycle gear for $69. Later M
upur128 01-20-2005, 08:48 AM I just installed the clear double bubble and I love it!

crazyclimbr 02-04-2005, 09:49 PM Why does the Puig DB have those cut outs near the bottom?
Ravenmaster 02-05-2005, 08:08 PM Just put my Puig on today and took her out for a spin. Wow, there is a huge difference in the "felt wind" at highway speeds! I have an 03 R6 with a Puig on it, too, and I'll never go back to Double Bubble.
And the best thing of all was I bought it new for $45 off of ebay. (Light smoke with R at the bottom. Looks SWEET on the my 05 Raven R1!!!)
TA^Guy 02-20-2005, 10:25 AM All these replies and no one posted a photo of it installed on their bike!
After riding an R1 and R6's several times I hated the lack of wind protection. Once I get my pick up my R1 I plan on getting a different windscreen for it. So a photo of one on a black '05 would really help. :)
babyherc 03-04-2005, 12:16 AM PUIG DARK SMOKE:rock well worth the:dollar

Wait?! so you dont like the DB??
some picts pls..................and where u buy it from
94cobra 03-18-2005, 07:25 PM here are some pics, i just bought mine yesterday at competition cycles in south florida for $75, The double bubble from zero gravity and puig are very different. The puig goes straight into the slope from the bottom and is very sturdy, nice fit andi can keep my whole helmet over the windscreen and catch little to no wind. Zero gravitys double bubble, you can actually see a double bubble it looks like one screen on top the other, i really dont like it too much but its still a good quality screen. If you are looking for on don type in puig double bubble its not called that (copyrighted, Zero gravity) type in puig racing screens.

r1ryder1770 04-27-2005, 11:21 PM I just received and installed my dark tinted Puig Race Windscreen on my 03 today. It seemed to be a very durable screen... but it didn't fit like you guys are raving about. The screw holes didn't align without tweeking/ slightly bending the upper fairing. It looks good and you couldn't tell that I had a problem lining up the holes. But, overall I like it but was a lil shocked when it didn't bolt up like it was a stalk screen.
I give it a: :thumbup
