Installed the Puig double bubble on my 04 last night. I was impressed with the fit and overall quality of the windscreen. What I like most is the huge difference it makes when riding at highway speeds. I used to get pushed all over by the constant wall of air, but no more! I would recommend this product to anyone who owns the R1. -Giddyup

Ditto. I just installed mine as well, and the difference is amazing. It looks a little different but definitely real nice; and looking over the front fairing feels a little different, as I used to be able to see down the front to the road without any obstacles. But the wind used to toss me around and now it is so slight, it is hardly noticeable, and tucking in is easier as you don't have to hug the tank so tightly to avoid all the wind. Definitely should have done this change earlier. I only have a small amount of worry when I read about the magnifying effect that can possibly happen. Has anyone found this to be a problem? I have the light smoke, so I am wondering if it is more a problem with the clear ones, or if light smoke owners should be worried as well.

PUIG DB windscreeen for the '04 was the 1st mod I made. Being 6'3", it gives me a better view of the instruments. The stock windscreen was too low. I couldn't see the top of the tach. PUIG is thicker than the ZeroGravity and just a solid windscreen. A MUST HAVE for the '04 R1. You will not be disappointed. Chris

I installed a Puig dark smoke double bubble on my 02 R1 last year. After working in the plastic industry for a long time I can tell you it is the best I have seen. There is no cold forming - meaning the lines are well formed, sharp and not distorted. The optics are very nice as well. My $.02

That's the latest mod i've done and the fit and finish rocks. It comes with a piece for the top of the screen that finishes it off real nice. If you take the sticker off you would almost think it's factory. I got the smoked db(race) shield at cycle gear for $69. Later M

Just put my Puig on today and took her out for a spin. Wow, there is a huge difference in the "felt wind" at highway speeds! I have an 03 R6 with a Puig on it, too, and I'll never go back to Double Bubble. And the best thing of all was I bought it new for $45 off of ebay. (Light smoke with R at the bottom. Looks SWEET on the my 05 Raven R1!!!)

All these replies and no one posted a photo of it installed on their bike! After riding an R1 and R6's several times I hated the lack of wind protection. Once I get my pick up my R1 I plan on getting a different windscreen for it. So a photo of one on a black '05 would really help. :)

here are some pics, i just bought mine yesterday at competition cycles in south florida for $75, The double bubble from zero gravity and puig are very different. The puig goes straight into the slope from the bottom and is very sturdy, nice fit andi can keep my whole helmet over the windscreen and catch little to no wind. Zero gravitys double bubble, you can actually see a double bubble it looks like one screen on top the other, i really dont like it too much but its still a good quality screen. If you are looking for on don type in puig double bubble its not called that (copyrighted, Zero gravity) type in puig racing screens.

I just received and installed my dark tinted Puig Race Windscreen on my 03 today. It seemed to be a very durable screen... but it didn't fit like you guys are raving about. The screw holes didn't align without tweeking/ slightly bending the upper fairing. It looks good and you couldn't tell that I had a problem lining up the holes. But, overall I like it but was a lil shocked when it didn't bolt up like it was a stalk screen. I give it a: :thumbup
