What's up rotten. To my knowledge, the rumor you mentioned is not true. We have already had MANY sets ship out. It seems they come in phases, and will be available again shortly. The most recent expected back-order release date is 9-20-04.

I hope everyone has a better experience then I did. I ordered a set of tires, and after 7 days I get an email stating that the rear tire is on back order and that once it gets in that they will ship both of em. Problem I have with this is that I didnt get any kind of communication stating the problem for 7 days. That tells me that they did not order my tires for quite a few days after I placed my order. I understand the back order was not there fault, but it just seems to me that they could improve their communication a tad!

I'd be interested in a swingarm for an 04 R1. I looked online at your microfische but only found the complete rear arm kit, which was $4xx something. I assume this comes with everything, I just need the rear arm, it was scratched in a crash and I'd like to replace just the arm, is this possible to get? How much would that be? Thank you.

Do any aftermarket headers use the OEM style flange so that I can keep my 2 brothers? Your best bet would be to contact Two Brothers directly. It is possible that they will have a header that will adapt to your slip on, but I do know that most exhaust companies only sell them as a complete system. Paul

Paul, On your website, I noticed while browsing the microfiche for the 2004 R1, if you go to Trasmission and look at #35 part# 3CV-17460-00-00 it says (16T). Once you click on the part #, it says 17T. The 17T is correct, the 16T is not correct. 1999-2003 R1s came with a 16 tooth sprocket. The 2004-2006 are 17 tooth sprockets. Thoughts you might like to make the change on the microfiche page. Also, does part 5PW-28386-00-00 come in packs of 4? Thanks, Chris

It was fixed in a recent update to display the correct tooth count. That part number is sold individually.

I have a gripe about RonAyers.com. On the 24th I ordered a set of pilot powers. I received them on the 28th. I was sent the wrong size rear tire, no biggie. I call them up and explain what happened. They issued a call tag and said they would pick it up and tuesday. I was under the impression that they were going to swap the correct size with the one that they had sent me. All they did was pick up the one they sent. So I call them up yesterday (May 5th) ask where my freakin tire is. They say that they are waiting to get the one they sent back before they send me the correct one that THEY SCRWED UP. That is not right in my book. I didn't get anywhere explaining this to the guy on the phone. Why do I have to wait due to thier mess up. It's not like I am going to give thier tire back that I don't want in the first place. So now I have missed a track day due to this delay of my tire. I hope you guys can get things together.

Paul Hadel Paul, You're saying that a "normal procedure" for doing a tire swap is to make a guy wait two weeks extra while his bike is down because you couldn't ship out the right tire to begin with? As far as I'm concerned that is a ridiculous business practice. Seems to me that if you're that worried you won't get your tire back perhaps you should have paid a little more attention and sent out the correct size the first time. I realize there are some people who are not very honest these days, but Corbin obviously had enough faith in you to pay you before he got his first tire. The least you could have done is shown the same respect by shipping out the correct tire as soon as you realized your mistake. Had you done that I’d have no problem buying from you when I need a set of tires, but I don’t like the way your company handled this situation and I don’t care for your “normal procedure.” The procedure should be something a little more along the lines of “do what needs to be done to correct your mistake without causing any more inconvenience to the customer than is absolutely necessary.” I realize people make mistakes. I do it all the time. But the way you stand up and correct your mistake makes a world of difference. While it was nice of you to send Corbin a T-shirt, it wouldn't make up for a missed track day and the cavalier attitude that I had received over the phone.

WA2FAST: When a tire is shipped incorrectly, customer is issued what is called a call tag from FedEx. This means the customer does not have to pay return shipping on the item, and the tire is picked up and sent back. The incorrect tire is immediately re-ordered for the customer. There is no expediting the tire from the distributor to us. Once we receive the correct tire, we can do what ever is in our power to make the customer happy. In this case I sent the tire next day air ($58) for free, and by no means tried to remedy the situation by throwing in a t-shirt. The shirt will not bring back his missed track day, and will not make up for lost riding time.....I realize that. Once I heard that he had a hard time with customer service, I made the proper arraingements to get him the tire asap, and sent the t-shirt because he was very polite and professional, and to show him that we will do whatever it takes to earn his back his business. Hope this better explains it. Paul Hadel

Paul, Picking up the tab for return freight and paying for expedited shipping were to be expected, you will receive no congratulations from me there. However, it now sounds like you didn't have the correct tire in stock and had to actually re-order it, and if that's the case then it seems you did what you could to get the correct tire ordered and delivered ASAP. The issue I had was Corbin being told that your company was waiting to receive the wrong tire before they shipped out the correct one. You validated that by saying it was your normal procedure. Was that the case, or did you just not have it in stock? To me, that makes all the difference. If you didn't have the correct tire in stock, your phone help needs to communicate these things a little more clearly to avoid people getting upset and feeling like they are not being treated properly.

Once it was in my hands, the problem was taken care of. Not sure exactly what he was told from customer service, or if there was a miscommunication on our part. There are a few new employees in the cust serv dept. When an incorrect part is received, and is the fault of Ron Ayers Motorsports, we will get the correct part out asap. The correct tire was not in stock. Paul Hadel

Hello, I'm want to order a throttle tube for an 04/05 R1. I only need the plastic tube that fits over the clip-on that the throttle cable hooks to. On your site I found this part number, but the description says "grip assembly". Is this the part I need. I want to install an R1 throttle on my GSXR because I've been told it's a 1/6 turn as opposed to 1/4 turn on the GSXR. The clip ons are the same size so it should be an easy swap. Can you help me out?? Part# 4YR-26240-02-00 Description: GRIP ASSY Source: YAMAHA Price: $10.06 Thanks..

Paul, I have a suggestion for your micro fisches. I have ordered parts in the past and need to order more. When I look at certain MF's they don't always the parts list or the color codes are not readily available. Forcing to call your helpdesk to make sure I order the right part and color. My suggestion is to have a legend to compensate for these descrepencies or lack of information from the OEM's. I spoke with a representative last week since I had to call to verify I had the correct part he told me that a fix is on it's way. Is this true? I'm sure it really decrease the call volume to your call center.

this dealership for parts really sucks. 1st they they tell me my parts are on back order for a couple of weeks by mail (when i placed the order on the phone they were instock). Keep in mind that I was expecting the gaskets to arrive, not a letter that states sorry we don't have them. So i order them for a local dealership for a higher price. i figured what the hell I will have a 2nd set when ever the ron ayers parts get here. Then after a week my parts show up from ron ayers, after i recieved the parts from a local dealer in 2 days. so really there was no need to order from the local dealer then: 2nd: they set the wrong gaskets, after I spoke with one of there sells people to make sure the right parts were ordered. 3rd: i call to send them back, they give a RA number. all is good right. wrong my gaskets did not make it back in there 10 day window return policy. so they returned the wrong gaskets back to me. after they sold me the wrong parts. by the way when I spoke w/ one of the salesmen on the phone, when ordering the parts. I made sure to clarify exactly which parts I needed as there is a difference in year models. He stated that he got it & knew exactly what parts I needed. Turns out he did't Just some advice find someone else to do business with.

I will do some research on this to see exactly what happened and what letters were exchanged. We always comminucate back order status via email for web orders, and by phone for phone orders. I am curious to see how you were mailed this info. Let me know if you have any questions. Paul Hadel in a fed-x package, w/ my original gaskets(all in the orginal evelope I mailed to you) & a piece of paper w/ your return policy highlighted. no problem now, jimmy was great to deal with. very understanding .

Why does order fulfillment take so long? Is it at all faster if I place my order over the phone??

Why does order fulfillment take so long? Is it at all faster if I place my order over the phone?? If your parts had to be ordered, you would be looking at 7-10 business days for the items to get to you. Thats 3-4 from the manufacturers warehouse to us and the rest of the ship time to get to you. If you post or pm me you order reference number, I can check it out for you. Paul H.

very diplomatic :bow i would have said fck off dip$hit, tell someone that cares!:hammer: There are people who do care. Since I've been riding I've rode 3 different brands and lived in 3 different cities and other than Kawasaki parts, my local dealers had MOST stuff I needed cheaper and could get it in less than a week. Very few times have I ordered parts online (although I did use RonAyers). The shipping charge on top of the higher priced parts rarely comes out cheaper than the dealer.

We are open M-F 10:30am to 7:00pm eastern time.....phones been ringing off the hook all day. You must have been calling our retail store which is closed on Sunday and Monday. We don't have those particular tires in stock and would have to order them. This process usually taked 7-8 business days to get to you. These would have to come from our tire distributor to us and then inspected and shipped to you. We should be having another promo in a few days but it is still undecided on what we will choose. We just wrapped up a free shipping month of April for orders over $100. The best way to find out about our current dicounts or coupons is to check in our forum or register on our site and you will be emailed every time we start one. Paul H.

Sorry sir, but that helmet is discontinued and we don't have any in stock. Paul H. Hi Paul, Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I have recently bought a 2008 R1 in Team Yamaha Blue/White color. I am looking to buy a helmet that matches my bike and the ideal one would have been the helmet I mentioned earlier, but unfortunately we are not able to get that. Can you please suggest me any other helmet from your inventory for me.(If its team Yamaha helmet that would be great) http://www.ronayers.com/catalogs/yahacc/parts.cfm?type=469&secid=19
