Proton Team KR and KTM test Feature,
12/09/04
Proton Team KR completed their first public test using the KTM V4 prototype engine in a hybrid chassis at Estoril last Monday.
The British-based team owned and run by former 500cc World Champion Kenny Roberts are in negotiations with the Austrian factory over a possible link-up for the 2005 MotoGP World Championship and, after two days of encouraging development work in Portugal, the move looks to be a step closer.
Nobuatsu Aoki completed over nine hours of testing with the new bike on the Portuguese track, lapping almost as fast as his race pace from the Grande Premio Marlboro de Portugal just a day earlier to the delight of both Proton Team KR and KTM.
*On a Side Note-
I also read in RRW that Team KR may be loosing Proton sponsorship after this season, that the contract runs out this year and will not be renewed :no
