    Hey mate, I just brought myself a nice 08 r1 :)

Iv noticed a lil ticking noise around 2500rpm to 4000rpm. Its not very loud but its there.

I have riden about 120 kms on the bike now and the ticking isnt getting louder and it pulls fine! its smooth, starts fine and idles fine. nice power wheelies in 1st,2nd gears :). Im just SUPER paranoide about the valve guides. There is definatley a tick there but i think im just over reacting. Iv already taken the tank off and inspected the inside of the air box and looked down the throttle bodies. The air box and thottle bodies where clean. I dont know how to remove the throttle bodies to inspect the guides like the pics you posted. Is removale of the bodies easy? Im very keen to see the stems like ur pics

The bike has 17,000km which is 10k miles. im hoping mine has not got the issue as i think most of u guys experienced it less then 5k miles which is half the mount of k's/miles on my bike
If you give me some insight that would be great!

I was actually looking into getting an interface from flash-tune.com. The only thing I don't like is I believe their flash makes the bike idle higher. I'll look into it some more and I'm sure I'll eventually do something. Gotta put some miles on the new bike first, it's spend 3 of the 4 months I've had it sitting in my parents garage, haha.
