It's a great track for sure. It's a super technical track. A lot of the f1 guys are saying that love it as several parts are nearly like an all out drag race. Lots of hard acceleration in parts and high speeds.
The ferrari race today was a riot. Turn 18-20 is a riot as there is a lot of over taking and braking issues going into the corners. Two cars must have swapped paint like 5 times before one finally ran off the course.
The track is tough for fans though as there isn't a lot of places to view the track for general admission fans. Turn 19 is one of the best places. The track is more built for those who get seats as it helps to be elevated.
I hope the DRS get's used a good bit coming out of turn of T11
Downtown has been crazy as ever this weekend. Lots of lambo's, mcclerans, Ferrari's, and a few Bugatti sightings even.
What is cool about the F1's is just the impressive corner speed and downforce of them. There is a large cement bridge to walk over the track and it holds probably like 500 people. With it nearly full when one of the cars goes under the bridge if you hold still you can feel the air moving the entire bridge. Pretty impressive. Just going off throttle they can get around 3g's of force applied to them. On TV it's hard to relate to how fast they are going or how fast they corner, but in person in the corners it's truly jaw dropping.
Can't wait for April. The track is indeed superb. Herman Tilke deserves all the credit in the world. Elevation changes, the esses, turn 1, turn 15, finally we have a world class track.
As of now nobody. Right now it's cars only and they are asking big dollars. Looks like it's gonna be around 2k a car per day as of now.
