Alright, how about some info on this. I am in the market for a 06-08 R6 "R" series salvage title doesnt scare me. Going to be for the track, but for $3500 it better not need much more than the swingarm replaced and some race-glass and of course any goodies to go with the track.
Is that exhaust stock?
Do you have the front seat?
whats your confidence level on the forks being straight?
Have you registered it yet?
Do you have the keys?
Are both rims in good condition?
Does the tank have any rash?
Do you have a list of items that the bike needs?
Sorry for all the questions but you have to understand that its tough to purchase something sight-unseen. Lots of faith in a sale like that.
Let me know, I am making my decision soon, I saw this bike on Ebay, but didnt bid high enough.
thanks for your time.

Will bump this for a friend.
I can't answer 100% because I've only seen the bike like 2 times, but it starts right up and just needs a very small amount of work.
From what I can remember the bike needs the upper, mid, & lower fairings. (I have some with very light rash that I will give to the buyer if he/she PMs me after the purchase)
I don't remember seeing any aftermarket parts on the bike but that's not to say it doesn't have any. Someone asked about exhaust... it is stock.
I gave him a front seat so it's got that. Without taking the forks off the bike and rolling them across glass you won't know if the outers are straight. Checking the inner tubes would involve removing the wheel and spinning the forkleg and looking for a reflection that moves. Based on the damage to the swingarm it looks like the bike fell, spun 90 degrees (or more) and struck something with the rear of the bike. There doesn't appear to be any damage up front. I don't remember seeing anything wrong with the tank. He's got at least one key and if I remember right it had that silver rectangle with the code stamped on it.
This is a solid deal and the parts to repair it are pretty much included. I've tried to get my friends to buy it (cause they all want an '06+ R6) but no one has the $$.
hope this is somewhat helpful.

Yes that gives me the information that I was looking for. Why isnt the seller the one answering these questions? Isnt he interested in selling it? I am located in Southern California Zip 92064 and it would have to be shipped there. What about the status of the title? Just want to make sure there is a title available to register even though this will be used mostly for the track. (Havent made up my mind which one to ride on the street, R1 or R6.
I am very interested in buying an R6 and it is coming down between this bike or one other available from a salvage company. The price is the same on both, but this one needs a little less work.
I just needed a little more information and it was provided. I am on my home from Singapore right now and will be contacting the person when I get home. Thanks for the information.
