da_lost_pinoy nO FAT CHICks Join Date: Jun 2003 Bikes: R1 r1 R1 Location: TwiN CitieS Posts: 20	2nd gear noise when shifting I have a 99' R1 with 13k miles. You hear a grinding noise when shifting to 2nd gear at high rpm's. It does this sometimes shifting to 3rd gear also at even higher rpm's. My question is this a clutch or transmission problem? Bike was just taken from winter storage 3 weeks ago and havent changed the oil as of yet.
