Go 3 dozen minnows in the bait bucket right now, I haven't caught crappie since this spring, hopefully I will end that streak this weekend. Those fvcking pesky bass keep going after my crappie lures

Most northern states have an earlier season compared to southerners. I think you can also hunt into the next year. Where ours ends at the end of the calendar year.

We can hunt past new years, I think archery season opens in a week or two though.

Its a Mathews Ovation older model. Yeah archery opened a month and a half ago and firearms is in 2 weeks.

Some guys use minnows down here, but I just troll the small jigs with the trolling motor in about 7 feet of water. Just fast enough to keep them off the bottom.

Saturday morning. I only caught12 good keepers. Got some real nice fillets off them. The lake got pretty rough...

Nice I use minnows sometimes but typically jigs work best. Road runners, swim baits, rooster tails, hell sometimes I even catch em on a texas rigged worm fishing for bass.

Out at the ranch right now. We broke our old record and caught 74 fish this weekend  : I slayed this afternoon, caught 37 bass in under 2 hours  better pics to follow when I get home tomorrow, I'm fvcking tired of cleaning fish
