which air hammer should i buy?
need to buy one for work. im tired of borrowing one from my co-workers. they have no problem lending it to me but i use it enough to justify the price. and i dont like to mooch. ive been using a cornwell CAT250AH and i like it for most work. not much need for a smaller hammer. i looked up the specs on the IRT118MAX and they seem similar in performance. does anyone have experience with both or something similar? thanks.

I'd go with the Ingersol long BBL or better yet a Snap on 3050 if you have the cash to drop on it. I know my Ingersol Impact gun is around 20 years old and still going strong as well as my Snap on tools.

Don't kno about their air hammers, but matco usually uses IR internals of very similar. They're impact internals are interchangeable (some)

IR or Chicago Pneumatic both are very good. Long barrel gives better performance.

E-Bay is your friend for tools, I have bought most of my good stuff(Snap-On, Matco, etc.) off there. I never buy off the truck, unless I absolutely have too.
