2012 World GP 50th Anniversary R1
Looking to purchase one...being that it is said to have a production of 2000 units...does anyone have an idea where I can look for specific production numbers?
Or am I just being ridiculous.

Perhaps so... there is a list somewhere ... (in corporate?) that identifies which productions went to where.
This would be the easy way...other than that I will have to place calls or emails to every dealer that has one in stock to find out which production numbers they have.

lol 666 is a nice number. I don't know why I am so keen on the production number...but if at all possible...getting one that I want would be great... like icing on the cake.

None of the 2012 R1s are limited edition.

There is a GP 50 Anniversary Edition that has a worldwide production of 2000 units.

OK... but still it is not considered a limited edition. Where you would get a limited edition plate on your tank stating xxx of 500.

Yes, you are correct. However I have not said it was a limited edition. Im looking for a production number though...just trying to find an easier way to find it without having to call dealerships etc.

Saw these at Cucamonga Yamaha in Rancho Cucamongo, CA a couple weeks ago, R1 and R6.

Dealer in my city still has their anni edition and it is #50 of 2000. I think #50 is a pretty good number if I were looking for one. They won't come down too much off sticker though they are pretty good about throwing out those stupid setup/delivery fees.
