When is this sound happening? When you open up the throttle revving.... ??? also where is the sound coming from? all you state is from the metal... what metal where? from the carb base.. ??? Better details will greatly help anyone diagnose it..... plus when was the last time you had the vavles checked?

is it a smooth idle? it may be the throttle cam plates closing and hitting the throat of the carb if the idle isnt smooth..... vaccuum drops and partly closes the plate...if the idle is too low you can adjust it up some and that should prevent it.... also does it happen when the bike is at operating temp or just when it is still cold/ right after starting? having the bike warmed up will help the idle greatly

It is a smooth idle. Bike runs great. Just worried as first time and noise seemed weired. So if that is the case is it ok? Serious or can be left as is?

as long as the idle is smooth and that it runs fine when revved I wouldnt worry about it.... also if you hear it without the airbox and tank over it, you will notice it quickly... carbs tend to be a bit noisier than FI.... it has been along time since I have had any keihins on a bike so I am reaching a bit on remembering how noisy they were... not since my old 81 gs1100r... LOL so it has been about 11 years or so.... LOL

Your probably refering to the rattle made by the throttle slides and its normal. The noise is FCR music

It's the best sound ever for a carbed bike.
