Had an AWESOME Birthday!!!!
I have to share this with you all, Here is a little background, 6 yrs ago while i was fighting in Iraq, I received a Fed-Ex package from my wife and kids, it had cards, pictures letters from my 2 kids, and YES DIVORCE papers!!!, needless to say she left me for my best friend. 8 months later when I came home to divorce court, she not only took the house, the car, but also took my BIKE TOO.. . I had nothing left, so I started a new life. Several months ago I came across a used 1999 R1, and after 5 1/2 yrs w/o a bike, I got it!!! , So last Yr I met a woman who is great to me, someone who loves to ride too, appreciates what I have to give and gives it back double in return. Friday was my Birthday, she said take the day off and lets go riding, As we all know North Carolina is beautiful and has some awesome roads (Blue Ridge Parkway), so we went riding, she gave me directions to a log cabin where we spend the night (woohooo), Then when we came back to her house, she surprised me again with a Jersey, BOX Football tickets with Sideline access, OH yeah!!! and a pair of Icon Timax Titanium Gloves.... It feels great to be appreciate it.... I can only i hope top her surprise when her birthday comes....

You are better off without the first one, other than your kids, fvck her. It sounds like you deserve a bit of the second one, happy for you and thanks for your service.

Similar story. My brother, a Ranger, returned back after spending an extended period of time on the Ivory Coast(for who knows what). As soon as he got off the plane his wife said nothing but "I want a divorce." After a few weeks of trying to talk to her with no avail he just signed the papers. It really hit him and he got out of the military as soon as he could.
About 2yrs later we went to the funeral of a friend who had committed suicide. While there an old high school buddy came up to my brother and told him that his daughter was beautiful; he had no clue what he was talking about. Turns out his ex-wife had put pictures up on facebook of her new daughter. Nobody knew they had by that time had been divorced for nearly 2yrs. After some investigating my brother found out that his ex-wife had cheated on him with a good friend and was pregnant when he returned home from the Ivory Coast. She was now living with this former friend(and their daughter) in Guam.
He has since married a much better woman and has 2 young daughters of his own.
