MOTY Design Lightweight Batteries
This isn't a review, just thought I'd put it out there. I've been eyeing MOTY Design batteries for a minute, and was planning on getting one when the time came for a new battery. From my research, I've read good reviews on random forums and even a review on here by WestonG (Graves Motorsports?). Their products are also made in the U-S of A.
Anybody have experience with their products?

I have been reading up on the 4-Cell for my DRZ400SM. Everyone on SuperMotoJunkie that has bought one has had nothing but good things to say about it. I have read about guys using the 4-Cell for their 600s. The video below shows some guy cranking the hell out of one.

It's a Speedcell copy. But I've heard many good things about it, and know quite a bunch of people that have it with no problems!

First time I saw the video, I was like WTF is the bike ever gonna start?!? But then read the point of the video was to show it's ability and disprove any notion that if the bike doesn't start after 1 or 2 cranks you're gonna need a push start... clearly the little battery went through a number of cranks and still started the bike up.

Haha. I thought that at first as well. I was thinking "something is wrong with that bike".

So I finally pulled the trigger on one. Ordered while I was in Japan but according to the emails; I placed my order, received order confirmation, and received tracking info the same day.
Went with an 8cell quick disconnect type because there's plenty of times I'm away from my bike for long periods of time, thus making it more convenient with disconnects. It's summer time now so the bike starts up fine, will have to see during the winter how it works with cold start ups. Seems to start up better than stock, but it's been 8 months since I started up my 09 with the Yuasa battery.
I didn't weigh the battery due to the lack of a digital scale, but it is very light compared to stock.
Only thing I didn't like is that it comes with heat shrink sleeves to cover the terminals once everything is connected, but the stock terminals being oddly shaped make it hard to fit.
I've got a PCV, AutoTune, and SpeedoHealer V4 connected and the 8cell works fine for my application. Have a charger for my Garmin GPS (hardwire) to install down the road, but I don't think that will be an issue.

Update: The MOTYDesign battery worked fine since being last used in August and left unplugged until my return in mid October. Now the battery remains connected and has gotten colder. Battery still starts up the bike, but now takes a few to several tries until the bike starts up (initial start up in the AM). Throughout the day it works fine.
After reading about other makes doing the same thing, I figure it's normal among lithium batteries. So I went ahead and picked up another one for my R6. Was gonna get a 4 cell, but they recommend an 8 cell, even for track/race only bikes.
With a little more research, I've read that the SpeedCell batteries to be one of the best, if not the best. They are pricey though so I just went with another MOTYDesign. I've only had the first one for a few months so I'll see how things go through the years.

You won't be disappointed. I've gotten phenomenal service from Brian Harris at Moty. I've used them in 3 different bikes now and will stick with them.

I've used an MOTY design 8 cell in my old RC51, it's still in the bike and started it every time. Good battery. Alien Motion is worth a look, I'm using one of those now and it's a great value.

I heard about this company around '08 when I was a Honda boy on 600rr.net... Heard nothing but GREAT things from this vendor- Thought the price would be more competitive though

So far so good. Only thing that scares me with the R1 is the known starter issue. Don't want to put any more strain on it than needed.

Haven't read how the AMs hold up, but I know their prices are well below most.

Wish they were a bit cheaper too. I think Alien Motion has everybody beat on price but I haven't done my research on them.
