Preload Adjusters For Front Forks

Has anyone bought them and if so I am just wondering are they more for bling factor then for real use?

I mean, once you dial in your suspension settings for your bike how often are you then changing them?

I dont have them on front but also couldn't someone just come along and twist one around while you are parked and then screw up your setup w/o you knowing right away - or are they somehow locked once you set them?

For track, if racing different circuits - i understand there usefullness but for general road riding - am I missing something??

Maybe if you are one of those people that gains and loses weight every month they could be handy as well....

To be honest, it's more a bling factor than anything. I have a set of Driven ones and I thought it would be easier to adjust manually by hand but you can't turn those at all. So what I recommend is once you have your suspension dialed slap those on and no one will be able to turn them. Here's a link if you want to see them on my bike:

as he already said, they're just for bling. out of people that could actually benefit from them, i'm one of them since i change my suspension settings for extended highway rides then change it once i get to the twisty sections more often than not and i still don't have the things

OK, now I am really confused.. I thought once you had them on you "could" easily adjust them by simply turning them with your hand - you are saying that you cant simply twist them to adjust preload settings?

he's saying that that particular model was a bitch and a half to adjust by hand is how i read it.

You still need a socket and ratchet to adjust your preload. I got my SSR ones to cover the tool marks on my used Ohlins.
